Happy Saturday! Lanier usually makes the coffee in our house since we have one of those big espresso machines he gave me for Christmas one year. I have no idea how to use it with all the valves and everything, but he enjoys making it each morning, so I’m more than happy to let him. Well, he’s out of town this weekend, so I’ve been hitting up Starbucks while he’s gone. I’ve had the new Chile Mocha a few times and it’s so good! Just the right amount of spice! // Not going to lie, I’m wearing this sweatshirt out of the house this morning too (also available here). So worn-in, soft and comfy. The perfect Saturday uniform in my book.
I know this is a whole new world for us, but my children have enjoyed the larger Duplo Legos for so long that I’ve steered clear of the smaller ones. They’re just so tiny and get lost so easily. Well, Logan received this Bat Mobile for his birthday and we seriously spent an hour on it yesterday. It was fun, but man, I never knew how long it took to create these structures. And now I’m just hoping no one steps on it because I’m not sure I can construct it again. But they all loved playing with it and that’s all that matters.
While Lanier’s been out of town, I’ve been enjoying some quiet evenings to myself. Last night, I cozied up in my favorite cardigan, painted my nails this ‘Limited Addiction’ color, lit my Nest Candle, and snuggled in with this book. I’m almost through and it’s soooo good! Cannot wait to see the movie!
I don’t know what it is about Halloween that makes me all sentimental, but it truly does. I think it’s their innocence and the thrill the children get when they try on their costumes for the first time. They’re all old enough now that they have opinions on who they want to be and I just love it! Each year, it’s like a marker to show how much they’ve grown. Bittersweet. Just wish they didn’t have to grow up so fast…

I got some bins at the container store and a binder with the plastic pocket sleeves. I put the legos in the bin and the instructions in the binder. That way they could build it again and again and it didn’t take up so much room.
