Weekend Inspiration: Matthew 28:5,6,7, 1 Peter 1:3

And the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.  And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going before you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”  Matthew 28:5-7

Would you have been afraid?  Would you have listened to the angel, and told His disciples that He had risen?  Mary Magdalene and the other Mary did not, at first.  They trembled and were too afraid to tell anyone.  Only when Jesus met them, and calmed them, only then, were they able to go and tell His disciples the good news!  Even in today’s world, what would you do if you received a message from the Lord?  Would you hide it, or share the message with others, even if you felt uncomfortable doing so?  We all should share the good news with others, and be a witness to others everyday.  As we feel this amazing grace within us, shouldn’t we want to share this with others, especially those who may not know Him yet?

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”  1 Peter 1:3

At least once today, especially today of all days, thank the dear Lord for giving up His only Son, to save us!
