Wedding Weekend: Part 2 + Weekly Post Recap

Sister #6’s wedding was practically perfect in every way!

From the beautiful flowers abound in every spot…

…to the choice of bridesmaid dresses.

Still so grateful she let us pick out a style that fit each of our body types for all of our different figures.  Here with my nephew and Sister #3.

Wheeler read two scriptures during the wedding ceremony and did an amazing job!  This gorgeous cross was created by my sister and her husband.

When the children were walking around following my mom to find out where they needed to go, I made them stop and take a picture.  This is still one of my favorite captures from the weekend.  My beautiful Mama with TEN of her FOURTEEN grandchildren!

Many of you have asked for details about their dresses and mine.  Girls’ Dresses (currently 40% off with code: SAVEMORE) // Sandals // On how I styled their hair, I used this curler. // My Dress is by Sorella Vita in Platinum.  I chose Style #8798. // Wearing these earrings and wore these sandals under my dress.

The boys, walking the dogs down the aisle!  I ended up ordering their tuxes from here and didn’t have to alter them.  Hallelujah!  Fit them perfectly!  They wore these shoes which they thankfully loved.  It’s hard to find a comfortable boys’ dress shoe.  For fit, these run a little big so make sure and size down.

Wheeler was so thrilled that she caught the bouquet!  I wish I’d captured more photos of the kids dancing at the reception.  I took lots of videos though.  As always, all four are certainly in their element on the dance floor!

They had a signature drink at the reception called the Southern Mule.  I can’t remember what was in it that made it different than the regular Moscow Mule, but I’ll find out and report back.

My amazing parents…marrying off their sixth and final daughter!

Waiting for the sparklers to be lit!  I always love this kind of exit!  Before the bride and groom came out, the groomsmen got everyone to belt out the National Anthem.  Our kids loved it!

No Filter.  Just my stunning sister on her wedding day.  Couldn’t have asked for a better wedding weekend!  The wedding party included ten littles and two labs. You would’ve thought they were crazy to attempt it.  But you know what?  It was perfect!  Not a single child made a sound, as they watched my sister and her husband make the most important and sacred vow of their lives.  In love together.  Forever.

It was truly a magical weekend and we had a blast!  So very thankful for family and getting to spend so much time with them.  And even better, when you’ve got five extra special people to spend it with…

We’re traveling again this weekend.  This time we’re headed to Athens, Georgia with friends!  I’ve had some of you ask how I’m a Georgia fan.  Growing up I was all Clemson Tiger, and still am, as my mom went there.  My dad went to The Citadel.  Not sure how, maybe I blame our neighbors growing up across the street that were HUGE Carolina fans, as to why I wanted to go to Chapel Hill.  But the Georgia part is Lanier’s side.  His parents both went there, so I guess after being together for 19 years, I started becoming a fan along the way.  Plus, you can’t beat a good SEC football game!  Go Dawgs!

TGIF, Y’all!

  1. The ASTR dress looks beautiful on you! I am normally a 4 in dresses but actually took a medium in this, so now I am wondering if I should try a Small also to compare? Also, what bra did you wear under the dress? Thanks so much!!!
