Thank you so much to SSP reader Susan for sending in this tasty cocktail recipe! Cannot wait to try it out soon! Sounds like the perfect citrus refresher on a hot summer day!
Basil Lime Cooler
1 Cup Vodka
1/2 Cup Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
1/2 Basil Simple Syrup
Mix all together and serve over crushed ice with a sprig of basil.
Basil Simple Syrup Recipe
Bring a cup of sugar and a cup of water to boil.
Make sure sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and add a cup of basil leaves.
Cover and allow to cool.
Strain to remove leaves.
Extra syrup keeps well in refrigerator for up to a week.
I like to double this recipe as it keeps well for a few days in refrigerator. Easy to cut recipe in half if you just want one or two drinks.
And now onto some pretty awesome news…Tory Burch just started their newest promotion!! I feel like with all of the sales happening in the past month or so, Tory Burch was always excluded. TB wasn’t part of the Shopbop Sale, and most of it isn’t included in Saks’ Friends & Family Sale going on right now, either. So now’s the time to take advantage of Tory Burch at a discount.
Here’s how it works…
Spend $250+, take 20% off.
Spend $500, take 25% off.
Spend $750, take 30% off.
Enter code: SPRING at check-out!
If you’re wanting one item and it’s under the $250 price point to allow you to take 20% off, consider joining up with a friend. Maybe you can find a friend that wants the same thing as you, or close to the same price. If both of your items hit $250+, you can buy both items together, so you’ll receive the discount and then you can just split the total. Just a suggestion.
I will say that there are exclusions, like the Millers and Revas. But I feel like this spring I’ve already worn these little Pineapple Slides more than my Revas and Millers anyway. For fit, they run a little small. I’m an 8.5 and wear a 9 in these.
And y’all know I love my Carolines too. If you don’t have these pretty neutral ones yet, get them now while they’re included in the promo. You won’t regret it. For fit, they’re true to size. I’m an 8.5 and wear an 8.5 in these.
I realize many of these items won’t automatically give you the discount alone, but if you pick two or more, you’re sure to hit it. Throw in this super cute key fob or this cute little cosmetic case, and you’re probably already over the mark.
Now the fun part, my favorites!
I obviously love all of the items above. Some are brand new (like the sunglasses) and cosmetics pouch, and others have been in my jewelry collection for awhile now. I still wear my Logo Studs and Wrap Bracelet all the time. And the Heart Ring and Stackable Ring are still rings I’m tossing on again and again. I’ve used the Continental Wallet style wallet for years. I feel like the interior holds everything I need, all in one place, more than other wallets I’ve owned.
I just got this dress earlier this week. Super comfy, the length is great, very flattering sleeve length and the material is cool, yet thick enough that it’s not see-through at all. Fit is pretty true to size. Maybe a little bit on the large size, but the drawstring waist cinches it.
I know I posted this pic yesterday, but wanted to let you know that my blue dress here is now on sale! And let me tell you, you will love it! The material is thick enough that it doesn’t cling, but it’s not boxy at all. It’s hard to describe until you try it on, but I feel like it would be super flattering for many figures and the color and print is gorgeous! Definitely runs true to size.
My necklace here has actually already sold out, but click here and here for similar versions. The ring shown is this one.
My Pineapple Key Fob would be a fun little item to add, if you’re trying to hit one of the price points to give you a particular percentage off. The zip pouch shown is Gigi New York.
I have seriously fallen in love with this dress. The embroidery at the bottom is beautiful. Would be so pretty with a pair of espadrilles.

Pretty little prints headed with me on my trip!
I’m headed off to Dallas this morning to a blog conference for the weekend. I went last year, and had such a great time. A great learning experience and just a fun time to socialize with friends that I don’t get to see in person that often. I will admit telling the kids goodbye for a few days was much easier last year, than it’s been this year. It probably has to do with their age than anything else. Last year they weren’t old enough to comprehend how long I would be gone, but this year they know. Four whole days. Even tears came out last night. I know they’ll be fine while I’m gone, but I sure know that come Sunday, I’ll be just as excited (if not more) to see their happy, smiling faces!! Wheeler requested than we take a pic together and for me to send it to daddy’s phone, so she could look at it and think of me. She also requested that I’d be on call, and that whenever she wanted to talk to me, I better answer. I more than happily obliged.
I sure am going to miss all of their precious little faces for a few days, but I’ll be back soon.
If you want to follow me along on my trip, head over to Instagram. If not, you know I’ll be back next week with a loaded post full of pics from my trip!
Happy Thursday, Y’all!
