Thirsty Thursday: Southern Belle Cocktail

I found this week’s scrumptious drink on The Food Network website.  I’m not sure if y’all ever watch Semi-Homeade with Sandra Lee.  I LOVE all of her cocktails she makes, at the end of each show…alcoholic much?  Just kidding!  Don’t you also love how she redecorates her entire kitchen, clothes, tablescape, etc. for EACH and EVERY meal she creates?  A little OCD?  No, no, all kidding aside, I actually really love her easy to make recipes.  What a great idea…not having to make everything from scratch, but the dishes look like you did!  So genius!

How Appropriate, and oh, so yummy!
The Southern Belle Cocktail

Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 1 part whiskey
  • 1 part sweet bourbon
  • 1 part orange juice
  • 1 part lemon-lime soda
  • Splash grenadine
  • Orange slices, for garnish (or limes)

Directions

In a large pitcher filled with ice, combine all ingredients except orange slices (or lime slices) and stir thoroughly. Pour into individual highball glasses. Garnish each glass with an orange slice (or lime slice) and serve while cold.

Wouldn’t this drink be extra yummy, while baking these delicious cupcakes…or just eating them?
