Thirsty Thursday: The Sidecar

I’d never heard of this cocktail, until I came across it, and now I NEED to try it!  It sounds delicious!  I found it HERE, a Huffington Post article about five simple cocktails to take camping with you over Labor Day weekend.

“With its simple yet infinitely balanced blend of ingredients, the Sidecar has become one of the most popular classic cocktails of the past century.”

2 oz. Cognac
1 oz. Cointreau
3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
Cracked ice
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: cocktail
Garnish: sugared rim (optional)

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass.

While sipping this, I’d love to be wearing this…

The J.Crew Perfect Shirt is THE best fitting shirt, with the best feeling fabric!  I have a couple of them that I wore a lot last fall/winter, and had to get another one for this season.  They also have the mini gingham print (shown above in fresh purple) available in blue, pink, and green.

Sitting here, with this view…

Just a heads up, for all of you still taking advantage of the Lilly sale…keep checking back every once in awhile.  Lilly Corporate asked all Lilly stores to overnight them their spring and summer items, so they can refresh the sale, as they get it in.  So they’re restocking their inventory for the online sale!  I just picked this up today…and it definitely wasn’t on the site yesterday…

  1. Yumm, I would love this drink right now. It's already been that kind of day and it's not even close to 5 o'clock yet. 😉 I really want a gingham shirt but never buy one. I need it to be in pink. XO

  2. Good thing I'm already sipping on my drinkie for the night whilst reading this or else I would run out and make this delish cocktail! The sale is still going strong, that's for sure! I've subsequently emailed my wish list to the hubby-to-be 🙂
