Thirsty Thursday: The Pink Lilly

It’s Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau’s birthday, today!  How are you celebrating?  Even if you aren’t near a Lilly store today, are you wearing Lilly?  Unfortunately, it’s pretty rainy and mucky out, and for me, it’s always a little difficult to wear something so bright and cheery on days like this…

So I wore my Yachting Tee by Claridge + King

…and paired it with Lilly’s Biaocchi pants and my black Tory Burch flats, so I’ve still managed to incorporate a little Lilly into my day…although, I should have gone with my black Hunter rain boots today, instead!

And to celebrate Lilly’s birthday, try a Pink Lilly.  I’ve posted about this cocktail before, here, but I thought it would only be fitting to feature it again today.  Enjoy!

2 Cups Grapefruit Juice
2 Cups Pineapple Juice
1 1/2 Cups White Rum
1 Cup Chilled Club Soda
Splash of Grenadine (to make it pink!)

In a pitcher, combine juices and rum. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours. Stir well and pour into ice-filled martini or high ball glasses. Top with club soda and grenadine, and garnish with a mint sprig.

Cheers to Lilly!
Thank you for making the world a much more colorful and beautiful place!

On another note, the hubs just left for a hunting trip down in Georgia for the weekend, so it’s just me and the kiddos.  But as usual, we’ve got a lot planned.  Tonight, one of my sisters is in town, so we’re heading to my parents for dinner.  I’ll try and snap a photo of my outfit, while I’m there.  Last weekend, the hubs shot an 8-point buck, so our fridge is stocked for the winter…I think this weekend he’s going more just for fun, than anything else.  Good for him, he deserves it!

I hunted some today too, while the girls were in school…and found these babies on sale at Nordstrom. Their Half-Yearly Sale is going on right now.

They are so cute and comfortable!
Hope y’all have a great rest of your Thursday!
