Since Fall begins this weekend, I thought toasting to a yummy autumn-inspired cocktail would be a great way to begin this wonderful season…enter, the classic Hot Toddy, via Tyler Florence…
Hot Toddy
Serves 4, Prep: 15 minutes
4 slices of red apple
3 cinnamon sticks
3 slices of orange
2 cloves
16 oz simple syrup (equal part sugar dissolved in water)
16 oz bourbon whiskey
Add all ingredients to a large saucepan and put over low heat. Slowly bring up to a simmer to infuse the bourbon, and keep over low heat for 5-7 minutes until the fragrance of the mixture becomes more apparent. Serve warm.

As always, your kids are adorable! The Essie fall colors are fabulous. If you want something a little funky, "For the Twill of It" is pretty fun. It is a mix of purple, green, and metallic. It takes on different colors as you move your hand, and looks great with jewel tones.

I normall wear a 9 in Nikes and 8.5 in Revas, I cannot imagine going down a whole size to a 7!
I know, it's crazy!? Not sure why they run so much bigger? I'd do an 8 for you though, since I'm an 8.5 in Nikes and you're a 9?

Loooove that sweatshirt! Can you tell me what the JCrew leggings are like? They never carry them in my stores. Are they just regular cotton/spandex, or are they more like the thicker Gap Modal ones? Thx!!
They're cotton/spandex, but not too thin. I love wearing them for everything, they're so soft. The thicker ones always bother me for some reason…like they're trying to be pants, but they're not.

I'm not a huge bourbon fan after college either. Drank one too many SoCo and Limes! Bleh! But I think this one may be okay, because it's served warm?
