We just got back from the most amazing stay on Lake Norman! How gorgeous is this retreat? It was recently renovated and can hold up to 22 people! Seriously though, what family was better to fill this space than my extended family? I took this while Wheeler and I went kayaking one evening.
I went with the kids two days early, before the rest of my family arrived.
It drizzled a little the first night, but it was the perfect setting for a good read, wine and this view. The expansive views at this place are unreal! These photos don’t even do it justice!
A stunning sunrise!
This lodge was expansive and spacious, but very functional.
Plenty of room for everyone to sit. It had another large table and smaller round table in the kitchen space.
This was the master where I slept. It also has two bedrooms upstairs that both have a queen. And on the bottom floor, they have a bunk bed room with two lower doubles and two singles up top, along with a pull out couch. Another bedroom with two queen beds. And another room with a king and a queen.
The lower level also had plenty of entertainment that we all used a lot while we were there. From corn hole and skeeball to table shuffleboard and a large connect four. They thought of everything!
As soon as we could, we hit up the lake! The water felt amazing. I said it so many times, but if honestly felt like we were in the mountains. The mornings were cool upper 60s with low humidity. Perfect for a cup of coffee on the deck.

I love that the dock is off to the side of the lodge, so it doesn’t block the view of the beautiful, serene lake.
In my happy place again, reading a book after the kids went to bed. And I’m loving this one!
