The Middleton Cocktail + More Dresses I’m Loving

Last night, my girlfriends and I enjoyed a yummy dinner at probably my favorite restaurant in all of Charleston, The Obstinate Daughter.  Seriously.  I love it so much!  Every single thing on the menu is divine.  The William Moultrie is usually my go-to cocktail when I’m there, but this time I decided to try The Middleton and of course it was yummy too.  It also sounds pretty simple to make.  I may try to re-create it at home sometime.  Gin, berry-honey, lemon and prosecco.  So good!

Had to order my favorite meal while I was there, the Ricotta Gnocchi – short rib ragu, horseradish gremolata.  It is divine!

What I Wore

So I guess you could say this week has been all about dresses.  Wore this Joie Dress out last night, and I absolutely love it!  It’s lined and super comfortable.  My wedges are back in stock in all sizes at Nordstrom!  Love that Nordstrom restocks their popular items as much as possible.

I’ve majorly been crushing on rose gold pieces this season.  They’re so pretty with a tan.  I already know this Gorjana bracelet and ring, along with these Kendra Scott studs, will be on repeat this season.

Speaking of summer, how fun are these new flip flop prints?  Tory Burch has always been my favorite flip-flop to wear, so when I saw these cute new prints in orange (currently 20% off!) and animal print, I knew they needed to be added to my collection.

This Vince Camuto Dress is another favorite that I’m planning on wearing tonight.  The material is really soft and I think Nordstrom does a wonderful job at describing the dress: “Graphic stripes are a flattering distraction down an A-line jersey dress that falls fluidly from a tank-style bodice to a swingy shark-bite hem.”  That’s exactly how it fits.  It’s also true to size.  So thankful the rain is finally supposed to stop this afternoon!

In case you need more dress ideas, here are ones that I posted about Tuesday…

White Tie-Waist Spaghetti Strap Dress // Chevron Dress // Ivy Print Wrap-Front Dress // White Tie-Front Dress // Stripe Wrap Dress // Lemon Dress // Embroidered Red Hem on White Dress // Navy Halter Dress // Striped Sleeveless Dress // Nautical Stripe Tie Waist Dress // Blue Stripe Dress // Stripe Criss-Cross Back Dress

Nordstrom is always my first stop when I’m shopping for practically anything.  Obviously this week, it’s been about dresses.  And they’ve got quite the selection this season.  Scroll through to shop more of my favorites below…

It’s still raining here, and it’s kind of getting old at this point.  But it did finally get me to go back to barre this morning.  I’ve been running when I can, but haven’t been able to this week because of the weather.  So I finally bit the bullet and hit up an early morning work-out.  One thing’s for sure, I’m so out of shape.  I already feel sore, but I know it’s a good sore!  Excited to get back to it more regularly.  So I guess that’s a positive about the rain.  It’s supposed to clear up this afternoon and stay that way through the weekend though.  Fingers crossed!

Thanks to Nordstrom for their partnership on this post.

  1. Love that dress! Yes, so over this rain. I don’t think I have seen the sun in 4 days here at the NC Coast. I need some Vitamin D. At least it’s supposed to be nice this weekend! I will be soaking it up!
