Next week is the last full week of summer break, before the girls head back to school. The boys head to school the following week. I can’t believe our summer break has almost come to an end! We couldn’t have asked for a better time, but as it comes to an end, I really do no like it. Not one bit. Back to schedules and the children being split apart. Not just from me, but from each other. I know we’ll still have afternoons to hang, but there will be homework and set bed times, and less time to just chill and be with each other. After our move, I never sent Effie, Logan or Vaughn to school back in February. They have been with me the whole time. This will also be the first time Vaughn will be attending any type of school at all. Don’t get me started on that…yet. Granted it’s only three days a week, 9-11:45, it’s still time when he’ll be away from me. But in the end, I know they need school, that structure, that socialization, that education, etc. but boy, am I going to miss them so.
Needless to say, next week we’ll be spending our last week together enjoying some pool time as usual, but we may also try and squeeze in some last-minute day trips to live it up for their last week.
Today, I’m off to run some errands by myself (first time in a few months), so I can get all prepped and organized for school early. That way next week, it’s all about the kids, and not about me thinking what they need and what I forgot to get them. I’m sure that will happen anyway, but at least I can be a little more prepared. And tomorrow is a boat day with the kiddos, which we haven’t done in awhile, so I know they’ll be excited about that too!
This Morning’s Errand-Running OOTD
Grey V-Neck Tee in Heather Marble (also on sale here) // Cutoffs (also available here) // Nikes // Hair Ties // Aviators // Necklace // Rosebud Salve
I did end up getting this Mara Hoffman Dress from the Shopbop Sale and am in love with it!
Planning on wearing it later today! It’s not as short as it appears. I’m 5’6″ and it hits just above my knees.
Later on, I’m planning on perusing the rest of the sale, so be sure and check back tomorrow morning to see my favorites! These Frame Denim Boyfriend Jeans will definitely be on the list. I have a pair of cutoffs from Frame and the denim is the softest I own.
I hope you have a great weekend!

This was our last full week of summer break…my little guy starts his first school of any kind on Tuesday! Love the Mara Hoffman dress…I would love to pick one up but I have wondered if they are really worth the price tag having never gotten to see one in person. What are your thoughts?
I love Mara Hoffman. This dress is really lightweight and so flowy, and the colors are so vibrant – perfect for this time of year. Shopbop always offers free shipping and free returns. It's super easy to return items too because it has a sticky return label already included in the packaging. So if you're not completely satisfied, toss it back in the mail.
Good luck on Tuesday!
LOVE that dress! It will look perfect on you! I am in denial about starting both of my babes in school this year..even though Carsyn is a half day 4 days a week and Hank a half day 2 days a week.. We are rewarding ourselves with a last minute beach trip 🙂
Perfect! What a great idea!
Homeschool! It's actually much easier and they do better in every aspect in the long run. There's tons of groups all over you can join! And best of all your children will be together!
Hey Ashley! I want to buy a few of those vneck t's but not sure what size? I think we are very similar in size.. so did you go with? I'm thinking Medium for me but not sure! Thanks!
I got size mediums because I wanted them pretty relaxed. I probably could've done smalls and they'd be fine too.
Thanks! I had similar thoughts. Gonna go with medium.. 🙂
