This time of year we have an abundance of strawberries at our house. I swear my kids could eat them for morning, lunch and dinner everyday. I was on the hunt for a new fruity cocktail to try, to use up some of these strawberries and came across this cocktail. Sounds absolutely delicious! I will definitely be enjoying this one this weekend.
Strawberry-Lemon Mojito
(found it here)
8 lemon wedges
24 mint leaves, plus 4 mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)
4 strawberries, plus 2 halved strawberries, for garnish
Ice cubes, plus crushed ice
8 ounces gold or aged rum
3 ounces fresh lemon juice
2 ounces prepared sugarcane syrup or agave nectar
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the lemon wedges with the whole strawberries and mint leaves.
Add ice and the rum, lemon juice and sugarcane syrup.
Shake well.
Strain into crushed ice–filled highball glasses.
Garnish with the berry halves and mint sprigs.
Cheers!
When it comes to summer jewelry, I like it either lightweight and dainty or a fun bright pop of color. Any of these pieces would be so pretty paired with any summery ensemble throughout the next few months!

J.Crew Floral Wreath Necklace (Beautiful! And there’s also a bracelet too.) // J.Crew Floral Beaded Bracelet // Kendra Scott Friendship Bracelet (I’m sure you’ve seen me wearing this already this season – love it!) // Kendra Scott Parker Studs in Drusy // Kendra Scott Anna Rings (set of 2) // Kendra Scott Elisa Necklace in Drusy (Love the simple simplicity of this one.) // Kate Spade Crystal Studs (I can’t leave these out because I seriously still wear them all the time! Also loving these pretty hoops. All jewelry at Anthropologie right now is 30% off for a limited time. Discount is reflected at check-out.
I’m sure you noticed that many of my favorites are by Kendra Scott. I just love the simplicity she brings to her jewelry and her drusy stones are my favorite! I own a few of her Rayne Necklaces (get the magenta one if you’re deciding on a color!) that I love accenting outfits with, and know that the quality is pretty amazing. So I have no problem adding a few new pieces to my collection, knowing they’ll last a long time. Kendra Scott is also carried at Nordstrom now too – huge plus!
I first started noticing Kendra Scott when everyone used to wear the large dangly Danielle Earrings. I thought they were so pretty, but I just won’t do dangly. While they look stunning, I’m thinking more of weight and how heavy they are on your ears, will one of my kids rips it out of my ear, etc. so I usually just prefer studs. Well, now Kendra Scott has come out with newer smaller versions of the Danielle. I’m thinking maybe I’ll try the Dani or if anything, the Lee now. She also has these Lobe Wonder Patches you can try too.
If any of you shopped the Memorial Day Sales this past weekend, I hope your packages are starting to arrive on your doorstep and that you’re loving it all!
Happy Thursday, Y’all!
That cocktail sounds scrumptious! I think I will be having one this weekend too. I have been wondering about that spike bracelet- thanks for linking it!
Thanks for another awesome post! xo.
You're welcome! And you'll have to let me know what you think of the cocktail! Cheers!
I am totally overwhelmed by the Kendra Scott color options…in fact, I've never bought the Rayne necklace even though I love it b/c I've been too afraid to commit to a color…thanks for the magenta recommendation!
I'm a sucker for a good mojito—with lemon and strawberry too!? Sold!
As for Kendra Scott, I have a pair of the Dani, and being petite I feel like they look much better on me than the huge Danielle pair!
Oh my goodness, those mojitos look SO good.

I bought the Dani earrings and love them! They are the perfect weight too!
