Our little family of New Balances.
I know I’ve talked about how much I love New Balances for the kids. I get them a new pair whenever they outgrow their old ones. I love how neutral and comfortable they are. I should know, I wore them all the time in high school and college. Did any of y’all?
But I probably haven’t worn a pair since then.
As I said last week, when Wheeler and Effie realized that they made gray New Balances for adults, they wanted me to get a pair to match all of theirs. I could’ve gone more basic, like these, or brighter with these, but I know if I went the brighter route, the girls would’ve wanted different ones too, so they could match mine.
So I ended up ordering these 574s with a subtle turquoise accent from Nordstrom, and they just came in yesterday. And I love them! And the kids love that we’re all matching now! Cheap thrills, right? I realize I could’ve headed over to Nordstrom to try them on, but sitting down and trying on shoes with all four kids? Probably would never happen. So ordering them was (and seems to always be) the easiest way to shop. As always, Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns.

I just bought my son a pair of new balances now that he's walking and I really want a pair for myself!! I loved them when I had them in college- love that they have more color options now!
