My Skincare Routine

After many of you have requested, I’m sharing my skincare routine on today’s post.  I like to wait a few months before I post about a line I’m using.  It gives me enough time to decide if it’s really working for me and if I’d recommend it to others.  And trust me, I’ve tried out many skincare lines from Rodan & Fields to Beauty Counter and everything in between.  I’m sure you understand that everyone’s face is different, and these products have worked the best for me.  I will say that I do love Beauty Counter’s Charcoal Mask, and still try and use it at least once a week.  But it’s safe to say I’ve loved using all of these products above for my nighttime routine for the past few months.  My face is significantly brighter, glowing and my dark spots have faded!  I’m including the products I use for my daily routine too.

My Skincare Routine

Morning

1  Wash my face with AHA/BHA Exfoliating Facial Cleanser.  The little beads in this cleanser feel so good against your skin.  You can either wash your face with a dab of water first and massage it in your face, or lather it with water then massage it.  Rinse.

2  Apply Phloretin CF (makes skin more firm , radiant).  You’ll just need maybe 4 drops of the oil.  Drop it into the palm of your hand, then use your other hand to dab and massage it into all sections of your face.

3  Apply one pump of Lytera Skin Brightening Complex.  Massage over entire face (except under eyes).

4  While you let this sit and soak for a few minutes, go ahead and use this time to brush your teeth, apply deodorant, etc.

5  Apply Free Total Defense & Repair SPF 34.  Trust me, a little bit goes a long way.  It’s available in white or tinted.  I use the white.  Love how lightweight it is, and I feel like it really works!

6  Apply Peptide Eye Cream.  Love how this feels under my eyes and reduces wrinkles and dark circles.  It has an almost cooling effect which I love!

7  Apply Oribe Lip Treatment and you’re good to go!

Night

1  Wash my face with AHA/BHA Exfoliating Facial Cleanser.

2  Apply Retinol Complex.  If you’re new to using retinol, make sure you use 0.5.  And start by applying one pump every other night.  Especially in the winter, using it every night may dry out your face too much.

3  Apply Lytera Skin Brightening Complex over entire face (except under eyes).

4  Let this set in and brush your teeth, anything else you do prepare for bedtime.

5  Apply Triple Lipid Restore and massage over entire face and neck (except under eyes).

6  Apply Eye & Lip Serum under eyes and on lips.

I know it may seem like a lot.  I thought so at first too, but when I started to notice a difference so quickly, I knew it was working and it still continues to be worth it!

As I mentioned on Friday’s post, you can also buy four of these products in one set here.

Check out my make-up routine here.

This weekend was all about spending time outdoors and fitting in as much outside time in as possible.  And it was absolutely gorgeous!  With mid-70s sunny skies everyday, it’s hard to believe we were in the 20s just a week ago.  Starting tomorrow we’re supposed to get rain for the rest of the week, so we wanted to enjoy the weather as much as we could.

Run is done! Shoes // Shorts // Top // Fitness Tracker // Headphones

We managed to get in as many bike rides, runs and stroller rides as possible.  Sometimes the simplest entertainment is the best.  And getting in some extra cardio doesn’t hurt.

The girls love their bike baskets.  They got to bring all of their friends on their ride – Baba, Bella, Sparkle and Buck.  Effie’s Dress // Shoes // Wheeler’s Shoes

This dress (also available here) came in last week and the fit has just a little swing, love the colors, it’s super soft and the length is just right.  Planning on wearing it today!  It fits true to size.  Nothing wrong with a little color in winter.

Our Friday Boat Day! // Sunnies // Jacket // Shorts

I know I say it all the time, but so lucky to live here!

Tomorrow’s post is all about answering questions from readers.  Feel free to send in any questions you have for me, and I’ll try and answer as may as I can on tomorrow’s post.  Make sure and write ‘Question’ in the subject line so I’ll see it in my inbox easier.  Thanks so much!

Hope y’all have a great start to your week!

  2. love the dress. I never know how to order these- do you mind sharing what size you ordered? also, where do you get all of your skincare products? thanks in advance!

  3. I love your website Ashley! Very informative and fun! I plan on visiting Charleston for the first time in April with my sister for a girls weekend. We’ll be shopping, eating etc… Would you suggest 2 nights/3days to see most of it or would you recommend one extra day to see the best of Charleston? Also, I know you’ve mentioned before your favorite restaurants but would you recommend a great hotel that is centrally located. Any highlights you could recommend would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks so much! 🙂
