I hope y’all had a wonderful Christmas! Unlike a lot of people, I loved that it wasn’t too cold. I know it probably feels more like Christmas when there’s a chill in the air, but it’s so much easier to toss on clothes, when you’re not having to deal with socks, leggings, coats, etc. And we get to play outside so much more.
Since this was our first Christmas away, since our move earlier this year, this was our first Christmas Eve we weren’t celebrating it with family. It did feel a little different not being surrounded by our extended family, but we made the most of it!
And the kids had a blast!
This was the girls’ second time at a Japanese Steakhouse. The first time was when we celebrated Effie’s 2nd birthday and Wheeler kind of remembered it, but Effie didn’t. Let’s just say that last time she was entertaining by the chef, this time she hid under the table every time she saw fire. You can see the apprehension in her face.
All in all, I think they had a great time! I wore this Anthropologie Top and Lanier’s wearing this Vineyard Vines Shirt and it’s now on sale.
Apparently, I did a horrible job taking pics of Christmas morning. I mostly videotaped it, and there was so much going on, it was hard to snap a pic. Needless to say, the girls loved their new costumes and Effie is obsessed with her Barbie Dreamhouse (you can kind of see it behind her).

Around noon, we headed down to Georgia, where we’d stay for the next few days.

Our fridge is constantly full of artwork, so it wasn’t a surprise that I didn’t notice Lanier’s little message at the top for a few days. Also, if you get a chance, read ‘A Child’s Advice to His Parents.’ We’ve kept it up since Wheeler was 2 and it’s always such a great reminder that children are small and so new to this world, and need direction and guidance…and most of all, just want attention and to be loved.
We got home from our trip yesterday. Just enough time to re-organize and re-pack, but this time with layers and pants. Heading out again this morning! // Eberjey Pajamas // Ugg Scuffette Slippers // Thymes 3-Wick Frasier Fir Candle (smells amazing!)

I took my regular size. It runs a little big, but not enough to size down.
