Life Lately + Lilly Pulitzer’s New Tennis Collection!

Happy Friday!  I’m so sorry for the extremely belated blog post.  We’ve had such a busy week that it’s been hard to sit down and take time to post.  I feel like this time of year is always the busiest for us, weddings, final tests, recitals, etc.  It’s always fun, just a lot going on.  This past weekend, we headed to Atlanta for one of Lanier’s cousin’s weddings.  That’s my sister-in-law above.  Would you believe I’ve known her and her husband for over 30 years?!  So hard to believe!  Needless to say, we had a great weekend catching up, but of course, it’s always too short.

Wore this pretty rose gold bangle.

And I absolutely LOVED this dress!  The fit was perfectly flowy and a great price point too.  Paired it with these sandals.  I’ve never owned a pair like this and they were super comfy.

The next morning, we woke up and watched the Royal Wedding.  I was surprised at how into it the kids were.  It was fun to get to attend a wedding on the same day!

The weather on Saturday morning was foggy and overcast.  With the pretty pond and wild roses, we almost felt like we were in England ourselves.  I’ve traveled to England on a two-week trip before, would love to go back.  The girls and I are matching in our Lilly dresses I scored during their big sale earlier this year.

The boys were super excited to visit Legoland!

This was their first roller coaster ride.  Thankfully, it was pretty tame.

Patiently waiting to see Ninjago 4-D with their cousins.  Their favorite part!

The Varsity was delicious!

Couldn’t leave without getting a Frozen Orange.

The wedding that evening was absolutely gorgeous!  I wish I’d taken more photos, but I guess that means we were having too much fun!

Cuties!

The girls passed out programs at the wedding.  They were super excited and took their role very seriously.  I wore this swingy dress and these earrings.  And the girls wore these dresses.

The next day, we headed back to Charleston early to get the girls to their piano recital.  The girls’ dresses are Bailey Boys from last Easter.  They’re wearing these Jacks in rose gold and Logan’s wearing this tee that’s now on sale.  Love the color combo.

Sweet Effie V did a fabulous job at her recital!

Matching Manis in this pretty light pink color.

My tennis team played in Aiken all weekend for States.  Sadly, I wasn’t able to play any of my matches over the weekend, since I was in Atlanta then had to get home for the girls’ recital.  But they did awesome job and made it to semi-finals.  Our match on Monday morning was at 8am and we had to report there by 7:30am.  I left Charleston around 4:15am on Monday morning and made it in time!  While I won my match, the team we played beat out more matches that us in the semifinals, so we unfortunately didn’t advance to the finals.  But all in all, it was a great season.  So proud of my team!

Speaking of tennis, have y’all seen the new tennis line that Lilly Pulitzer just debuted?? I want it all!  Still trying to narrow down my cart.  Have any of you tried it on?  Not sure about sizing yet.  For a limited time, you’ll receive a free tennis towel with your purchase.

Another hiccup lately is that I’ve been having some trouble with my computer, so that hasn’t helped me be as timely with my blog posts.  But I think I’ve got it all figured out, and I’m hoping to be back to regular blogging now.  Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing more of our life lately.

I hope y’all have a wonderful holiday weekend.  If you’re traveling, be safe!  We’re thankfully staying here, which will be nice for a change.  Sadly, the weather this weekend isn’t quite cooperating and we’re probably going to see rain on Saturday and Sunday.  But I’m sure we’ll still make the most of it!

TGIF, Y’all!

  1. Is the Legoland in Atlanta. Their website says just locations in Florida and California. My grandson would LOVE it!

  2. Love your tennis team’s outfits. Can you share the brand of the tank you’re wearing?
