How I Do It: Running in Comfort

Absolutely LOVE this ensemble.  Both pieces are super soft and go well with my Nike Free 5.0s.
After trying on all styles of shoes about two weeks ago, before I decided on the Frees, I hadn’t even realized why I loved them so much.  I just thought because they were the lightest and most comfortable, that that was why I wanted them again for a second season.  Well, it turns out there’s more to love in these shoes.  The Nike Free 5.0 has such a supportive fit because of the updated Flywire technology which “wraps the midfoot for a supportive, custom fit.” Plus, you can move your foot in all directions because of the hexagonal cuts on the sole.  And you know the other reason I love these shoes – the color!  I was thinking of actually changing out the laces for neon orange or yellow.
While my go-to shorts have always been the Nike Tempo Shorts (see last week’s running post here), I wanted to try a new Nike style.  While shopping at Nordstrom, the super helpful Specialist said that I’d love this new Mod Tempo style even more.  She was right!  Love how each Nordstrom section has employees that specialize in the area they’re working in, and know the pieces in their section so well.  This especially helped me while shopping in the Men’s Denim section last week (more on that in a later post).
With my Nike Tempos, I’ve always rolled the top of them down one time.  They just always fit better on me that way.  With these Mod Tempo shorts you don’t have to roll them down at all.  They were made to sit lower on your hips.  And you know me and bright colors – had to have the bright yellow!

  6. Love your blog…think I recognize the neighborhood these pics are in??? I just moved to it (6 month lease) from Dilworth. Maybe I will see you out and about!
