Happy Valentine’s Day!

Absolutely LOVING the new colors for Spring from Barrington Gifts.  Many of you have asked about my favorite style.  It’s definitely the St. Anne Tote.  But I’m also loving this Captain’s Bag that I plan on carrying with me on lots of trips this Spring!

After preparing a breakfast casserole to bring to the girls’ school for a Valentine’s teacher brunch this morning and making food for the boys’ Valentine’s parties today, we were on our way to preschool and a car rear-ended us in standstill traffic.  Happy Valentine’s Day to me, right?  Ha.  Thankfully, we were all okay and so was she, and that’s honestly all that matters.  And the boys made it to their Valentine’s parties in time too.  Sadly, Wheeler has a fever and missed out on her festivities today.  This is her second day being home from school.  Hoping she gets well enough to make it back tomorrow.

We spent both days on the water this weekend.  Wore this outfit on Sunday.  This top may look familiar as I paired it with leggings earlier this year too.  It’s a great, comfy top and so versatile.  Love that it’s two tops in one.  Paired it with these hot pink shorts and these flip flops.

Here’s the top I posted about on Saturday’s post.  Loved wearing it out on the boat on Saturday.  I plan on wearing it with white shorts and white jeans later on this season too.  A great classic stripe.

Some of y’all have let me know that the newest J.Crew shorts this season that I posted about on Saturday’s post didn’t receive the best reviews.  I’ve ordered them, and will give you a review as soon as they arrive.

Red Crush

I was at a store last week and tried on lots of fun new make-up.  My favorite was by far this matte liquid lipstick in Thrill Seeker.  It’s no secret that I love a good matte lip.  I love the fact that it stays on much longer than regular lipsticks.  Well, this liquid is even better.  Talk about long-lasting.  You just better make sure you stay in the lines because it’s going to stay on a long time.  If you’re not ready for bright and bold, it also comes in lots of neutral colors too.

I always use a clear lip liner too, to make sure the color doesn’t run.  Works like a charm.
