Fashion Friday: My Week and OOTDs

Happy Friday, Y’all!  My apologies for the lack of posts this week.  It’s sure been a whirlwind of a week, from celebrating my birthday on Tuesday, to prepping for Christmas, that’s going to get here way too soon.  And with this being the first day of winter, and the shortest day of the year, there’s hardly enough time to squeeze in blog time too.  And it’s FREEZING out there!!  But I do still use Instagram a lot, so if you’re not following yet, you should: @sweetsouthernprep.

Here’s what I’ve been up to, in photos.  Enjoy!

My grandfather’s house at Christmas, in Spartanburg.
Lilly Pulitzer Providence Top (old, similar HERE) // JBrand Skinny Jeans in Starless // Tory Burch Watersnake Eddie Flats
My grandfather meeting V for the first time.
V’s Zutano Sleep n’ Play (similar HERE)
Celebrating my 32nd birthday with the family.
J.Crew Boatneck Top // Necklace // J.Crew Toothpick Jeans in Classic Rinse // Tory Burch Gold Reva Flats (old, similar HERE)
Sister #6 of the 6, my mom and Sister #3 of the 6
Mall Trips…and making friends with the decorations.
Out with my book club, on my birthday at Petit Phillipe!  You may recognize Whitley from The Queen City Style (on the left).  Our children go to school together.  Her blog is so fun…chock full of great style inspiration.  She has a knack for original fun ensembles.  If you haven’t checked her blog out yet, hop on over now!
Wine and chocolate – the perfect combination!
This dry wine was a tad bit spicy, which is my favorite!
One of the incredible chandeliers at Petit Phillipe.  If you’re in the area, give it a try.  It’s right across from Selwyn Pub and Nolen Kitchen.
A great group of girls, made for a fun night!
What I Wore: Lilly Pulitzer Elsa Top (old, but similar HERE), Rich & Skinny Black Magic Skinny Jeans // Tory Burch Gold Revas (old, similar HERE)
A sweet surprise in the mail on my birthday, from a dear friend!  Thanks, H!
 Attending E’s Class Christmas Party
Her little friends are the sweetest!
Of course, V slept through it all.
Next up, was W’s Class Christmas Party.
L was all over the place!  And yep, still crawling!!
Lilly Pulitzer “Ho Ho Ho” Rebecca Sweater (old, similar HERE) // Kate Spade Bow Earrings (old, similar HERE) // Michael Kors Chronograph Watch // Tory Burch Black Reva Flats
The kids were out of school for Christmas break on Thursday, so with it being a rainy, cold day, we vegged out at home.
If you’re in need of a last-minute gift, the kiddos still love their Melissa and Doug Piano they got last Christmas.  $20 cheaper HERE, than any other place I’ve found.  Only $43!
L’s Pajamas (similar HERE)
The in-laws will be out of town for Christmas, so we celebrated early with them last night, and had a wonderful time.  This Chianti was amazing!
 The hubs’ parents with L.
After dinner, we headed back over to the in-laws for dessert and presents!
L’s sister (currently living in Macon, GA), was in town for work.  It was so nice to have her celebrate with us!  Notice her bauble bib?  Got it for her birthday, back in August from Baublebar.
We honestly drive by this Grinch decoration everyday…day or night.  The girls are obsessed with it!
Last night, we visited one neighborhood (off Colony Road) that’s all lit up for Christmas.  This Santa stands in a booth and passes out candy canes through car windows…and accepts donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
My apologies to all of my friends and family that have sent me beautiful Christmas cards this year, but this one is my absolute FAVORITE!  Thanks for the laugh, K!  It’s awesome!!
“Holiday Cheer.  It’s in Our Genes.”
TGIF!
Hope y’all have a wonderful weekend.
And prayers for safe travels to those of you visiting family and friends, near and far!

  1. Love all the new pics, I have the same LP cooler bag, wish mine was monogrammed though! 🙂 I LOVE your book club friend's green leather purse, do you know who makes it?

  2. Happy Birthday! Petit Phillipe is right down the street from my house–love it! And that house off Colony is a holiday favorite too. 🙂
