10 Summer Shoe Options for Every Occasion

Since I’ve obviously been on a summery kick this week…which will probably go on for the next few months, I decided I would share my ten favorite summer kicks with you today.  These are my tried and true classics that will stay in my closet for years to come…or until the girls start wearing my shoe size!

These are so comfortable and such a great pair of sandals.  I’ve had a few readers ask which color I’d recommend.  If it’s summer, definitely gold.  These blue ones I got a few summers ago are really cute too.  In the Fall, I prefer these tan ones.  For fit, I’m an 8.5 and went up to a 9 in these.  These will stretch a little.
This is honestly what I wear most often all summer long.  From the beach to the pool, these are my go-tos.  I actually own two tan ones, solely because when I can’t find one pair, the other pair is bound to be lying around somewhere too.  I wear a 9 in Tory Burch Flip Flops and a 39/40 in Havaianas.
I really like the colors of these new Havaianas too!  And Tory Burch just came out with this pair with the cutest orange straps.
From church to summer weddings, wedges are a great pair of shoes to own.  The ones I’ve been wearing lately are these Sam Edelman ones.  They’re comfortable without being too high and this color goes with everything.  These wedges are another option, as well.
I just think these are a great classic espadrille.  They’re very comfortable and a nice height without being uncomfortable.  I went down a half size on these, as they run a little big.
If you need something a little dressier for a summer wedding, get these.  They go with everything and they’re so simple and neutral.
I’m hoping to be wearing these as often as I can in the earlier mornings this summer.  I just went on my first run this morning after a week off after a stone bruise I got two weekends ago running barefoot on rocks (long story but so painful).  And my run felt so good!  Thankful to be back at it so soon!
I got a pair of these a few summers ago, still wear them a lot and I still haven’t felt like I’ve even really broken them in yet.  That’s how good the quality is on these babies.  The more you wear them, the softer they get.  I’ve had the taupe pair for awhile, and have anxiously been awaiting for the black pair to go on sale in my size.  Every time Shopbop has a sale, I swear the blacks in my size sell out first.  Like I explained on last Thursday’s post, lucky for me, J.Crew just collaborated with K Jacques and they have the Epicure style sandals…and in black.  I chose to use all this season’s J.Crew Rewards to get myself a discounted pair.  For fit, I’m an 8.5 and wear a 39 in these.  If you like the look at a lower price point, these are on sale.  I can’t guarantee their wearability as I’ve never tried them on before, but they look like a pretty pair.

Sperry Angelfish Boat Shoes
While I lean towards sandals most of the time in the summer, I have a pair of these boat shoes that I’ve had for about five years now.  They’re extremely comfortable and so broken in.  A true classic I know I’ll still wear for years and years.

You can’t go wrong with a pair of Jacks in your shoe collection.  They’re a staple I’ve worn since high school.  Most people start out with gold or platinum, then start collecting other colors.  I’ve had this color for awhile too and still love wearing them.  For fit, they’re true to size.
You’ve probably noticed that most of these shoes are pretty neutral colors.  I find that I wear so much color anyway, that it’s best if I tone down my shoe game with golds, blacks and tans.

I hope y’all are having a great weekend so far.  We’re taking the boat out today…yes, again!

Happy Saturday!

  1. First, let me say I love checking out your fun drink recipes and OOTDs! Second, I normally don't take the time to post (sorry!) but I've noticed you've recommended Jack Rogers sandals several times. I knew you would probably be interested to know that Palm Beach Sandals are actually the originals (JRs are knock offs – crazy, right?). The PBs are all leather and made in Florida, whereas JRs are mainly made in Mexico/Asia and use plastics and synthetics mixed with the leather. Ironically PBs aren't more expensive than JRs, probably the reason so many people get confused. But Lilly Pulitzer wore PBs (then called Bonannos). Check it out sometime, and thanks for writing such a fun blog!

  2. Love the Steve Madden heels! I am a big Jacks and Miller wearer in the summer months!
