Whereabouts + Lights! Camera! Fashion Show + The Perfect Boot

I had the best time hanging out at Rooster’s on Friday night, catching up with friends.
Thanks to the hubs for letting me have a much-needed girl’s night out!

Last night, I had a wonderful time attending the Lights! Camera! Fashion Show, benefitting the Junior League of Charlotte’s mission and Healthy Family Initiative Programs.  Everyone there had the best time mingling, socializing, shopping, tasting yummy cocktails and treats, signing up for raffles and silent auctions, and watching a great fashion show, all for a great cause!

Frye Paige Tall Riding Boots in Tan
I am in LOVE with my new boots!  I seriously think I’m going to keep them by my front door, to throw on whenever I walk out the door.  Many days, when I’m running late to get the girls to school, I throw on my Uggs, but I think these may be my go-to shoes now.  They’re seriously that comfortable.  And from what I’ve heard from other Frye boot owners, they only get better with age and wear.  I’m planning on wearing these with everything this Fall and Winter, from skinny jeans, to leggings, to dresses.  For sizing, they run a little on the large size.  I normally wear an 8-8.5, and I went with a 7.5 in these.  Also, if you read the reviews on Zappos, be sure and click Sort by: Newest, because from what it sounds like, they changed the sizing and fit with this year’s Paige boots, making them better.  Seriously though, I’ve never owned a nice pair of boots, because I’ve never been satisfied with ones I’ve tried on, but these fit like a dream.  Mine are a little darker in person, than they appear here.
So happy to have found the perfect pair!

  2. I love Belk, and the one at South Park is such a great store! It was one of the first things I discovered when we moved here and I cannot believe its four floors, all the ones in Virginia are one floor and way smaller. Have a great week!

  8. This kind of a silly question– but when do you do your nails? They always look great! I love short and neatly polished nails, but with 3 kids I feel like I don't have much time to do them (and let them dry!!)

    1. People ask me that a lot. I go once a week to get my nails done, usually Monday. JUST KIDDING!!! Lol. I usually do them at night, while the hubs and I are catching up on shows. I keep them really short, and that usually helps the polish to stay on longer.
