Weekend Recap

On your mark, get set, it’s summer!  Well, not quite for us just yet…  The children are usually out of school in early June, but with the later school start, they’ll be in school until June 18th.  But state testing finished up last week, so at least it’ll be fun school from here on out.  And Wheeler’s birthday is on the 18th, so she’s pretty excited that school will be in session for once on her actual birthday.

Wheeler got a surfboard for Christmas, so she was so excited to try it out.  She wasn’t a big fan of having to carry it out to the beach, especially on a windy day.

On Saturday, Wheeler organized a Family Game Day.  It was such a success that the kids are already asking when we can do it again sometime!

She even had a sponsor – Crystal Light Lemonade.  And they drank a ton of it that day!

Introducing the games!

Miniature Jenga.

This is the new game I shared with y’all last week.  Much more fun on the beach, but we liked it for the lawn too.

Such a fun day!

Our hydrangeas out back are in full bloom and are beautiful!

It was unusually cold on Sunday when we took the boat out, but it quickly warmed up thank goodness!  We had a full day of fun and games and of course, right when we anchored, Vaughn found a friend – a little horseshoe crab he named Johnny.

Exploring.

Vaughn found the perfect lunch spot.

We found about 20.
