Weekend Inspiration: Ecclesiastes 3:1

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”  Ecclesiastes 3:1
For those waiting for something:  to get into college, to find the perfect man, to become pregnant, to obtain a job, to make more money…, there is a time for it.  Although, one problem that us Christians have here on Earth is instant gratification:  emails, texting, phones, DVR, ITunes, etc.  Our Lord is not of our world, he does not live by the same time constraints that we do.  His time is different.  Sometimes no matter how long we wait for the Lord to give us/tell us what we need, we eventually give up, if we feel he’s not answering us, when WE want him to.  We run out of patience.  Our Lord never runs out of patience with us.  He believes there is a time for everything, even if the prayers we ask may seem unanswered, it’s on His time, not yours.  Patience is a virtue for a reason.  Next time you pray, and ask the Lord for something, remember, that the Lord is working on you.  He is a part of your life to help you, and love you.  That is the most important thing.  Just remember to be patient with Him.
