Wednesday Whereabouts + What I Wore

Well, this was a long time coming…

My hair was in desperate need of cutting.  I’ve always been very attached to my long hair, but it was at the point where even my regular trims weren’t making my hair’s ends any better.  And it needed a fresh start.

A huge thank you to Genevieve at Largo Salon!  Absolutely LOVE it!

That evening, I headed over to an intimate wine blending class at the Grand Bohemian Hotel.  Y’all, it’s awesome!  If you’re looking for something fun to do with your girlfriends, a dinner party, a work event, etc. you should definitely make an appointment.

I was so excited to hear that Raymond Vineyards in Napa was the vineyard of choice for the wine blending…

Clearly, Lanier and I are fans!  I found this post from 12 years ago declaring that of the many vineyards in Napa, Raymond was one of our faves.  Cakebread is still at the top!

Talk about a spread!  I mean, this could basically be a dinner.

After we perfected our blends to our liking, we got to cork our own bottles.

Lanier came up with my wine name – Toasted Magnolia.  Fitting.  😉

I was so impressed with the execution of this experience.  Peter, the sommelier, did a wonderful job explaining the wines, telling entertaining stories and sharing his knowledge of everything wine!  Can’t wait to go back soon!

After the blending, I headed to a dinner hosted by Stacy Hampden of Hampden Clothing for Mignonne Gavigan at Parcel 32.  Maggie was in town for her trunk show at Hampden, debuting her latest collection.  I’ve been obsessed with her earrings for years and have acquired quite the collection.  This style is my favorite!  Good luck choosing your first color, trust me it gets addicting.  I’m still constantly choosing her pieces to style an outfit and always look forward to what she designs next!

This hush puppy dish with pimento cheese was amazing!

And I MUST go back for this again!

The final dish was this amazing chocolate number with pumpkin mousse.

Heels

Needless to say, it was such a fun evening!  Wore this dress (true to size, wearing a small), these heels (also true to size), these earrings (by Mignonne Gavigan) and this crossbody.

Hope y’all are having a great start to your week!  So my Macbook’s battery is completely shot (like I have to keep it plugged it or it dies immediately when I unplug it) AND my start up disk is officially full!  In order for me to work on the rest of my Holiday Gift Guides I think I’m going to need a new computer.  I’m trying to decide between a Macbook Air or another Pro.  If y’all have opinions, please share!  Thanks!

I just cut several inches off my long-ish blond hair and it’s so much healthier–and doesn’t take so long to blow out!
