Wednesday Whereabouts + J.Crew at Nordstrom Faves

I hope y’all are having a great week so far!  It’s been pouring rain here since early this morning.  Much different than the weather we enjoyed this weekend.  Here’s hoping it clears out before this weekend arrives!
Many of you have asked if we got a new boat, and the answer is yes!  We’ve had it just a few weeks now, and and we’re clearly loving every second of it!
Happiest near the water.
Snapchat fun!
I finally tried this charcoal face mask everyone has been raving about and I can confidently say I’m hooked!
You leave it on for ten minutes and it hardens a little, then you simply rinse your face off and your skin feels amazing!  I asked a few friends how often they used theirs, and they said about 1-2 times per week.  I’m already looking forward to using mine again soon!
I’m forever wearing these cocktail pj pants that I picked up earlier this year.  They’re currently on sale for only $18.97!?  For sizing, I sized up to a medium for a roomier fit.  This mug has sold out almost everywhere, but I found it here.  And y’all, this long cardigan is the softest, fuzziest, most comfortable piece I’ve found this season.  Not itchy at all!  I plan on wearing it pretty much every morning, from car pool to just around the house.  In love with it!  The hard part so far has been prying it from my kids who insist on using it as covers.
This is Vaughn’s favorite spot on the boat – on my lap, insisting on having his back scratched.  // Cover-up
Because I’ve been spending more time on the water, my lighter hair has needed some extra TLC.  So I’ve been using Olaplex before getting on the boat.  What I’ll usually do is rinse it with water, apply Olaplex and then braid it to seal it in.  It’s worked wonders!
The kids love this beach.  There’s so much to explore.  One day I want them to watch Swiss Family Robinson, one of my favorite movies growing up, but I don’t they’re quite old enough yet!
We found all of these shark’s teeth in a matter of a few hours!
One of the perks of the boat is that they wear themselves out and can nap on it too.  We ended up having to get water shoes for them (here are some similar ones) because they like to explore so much, and kept stepping on oysters and shells in and out of the water.
Proof that I actually wear something other than cover-ups and swimsuits.  Ha!  Below is what I wore out to lunch yesterday…
Ruffle Top (a swingy style, runs big, size down) // Shorts // Sandals (true to size) // Crossbody // Sunnies // Ring
In case you missed yesterday’s post, J.Crew is now available at Nordstrom!  Head back here to check-out how I styled some of these pieces and which new ones are my favorite!

  1. Id love to know where you got the fuzzy cardigan! It looks cozy. And the Olaplex makes such a difference, doesn't it? If you havent tried it yet, consider asking your salon for a mini treatment. Its amazing!

    1. If you click on "long cardigan" or whatever under the cardigan pic, it'll take you to the exact one. And yes, I've definitely had a mini treatment before, just didn't know that's what it was! Obsessed!
