How great are these shirts??

In a nutshell, while working at Neiman Marcus in Charlotte, NC, Erika (owner of Dixie Peaches Couture) knew she wanted to do more with her life, more importantly, for pet adoption, and that’s how Dixie Peaches Couture came to be.  DPC is a family-owned and operated company, now based out of Athens, GA, that designs, prints, labels and tags shirts to raise awareness about pet adoption from local shelters.

While DPC has trunk shows and a website to sell shirts, to raise money for their town of Athens, and its Canine Rescue, their main goal is to raise awareness of pet adoption everywhere, and let you know how important it is to rescue animals from your own local shelter.

The sweet dog on their shirt is Bailey Hero.  DPC incorporates Bailey into their shirts to raise the importance of pet adoption.  With every shirt sold, a tag is attached that reads:

Bailey’s Story
My name is Bailey Hero, and I was rescued from an animal shelter on the day I was going to be euthanized.  Thankfully, my life was spared when I was adopted!  Now I live with my loving family whom I adore…and they adore me too!

DPC‘s hope is that when you wear your Dixie Peaches Couture shirt, you wear it with pride, and if approached about the company on your shirt, to inform others how they can help their pet community, too!

DPC offers a large variety of colors and styles on their website.  And if you’re near the area of Athens, check their Facebook page.  I know they have at least two trunk shows coming up! Erika and her team are very excited about the upcoming fall season!  While I received the red shirt with the black Bailey, and the hubs received the white shirt with black Bailey (as seen in these images), I may be ordering another color combo soon.  Not only are they cute shirts with a great message, they’re super comfy too!

    We also want to let everyone know that this Monday September 24th from 11am-11pm we will be hosting our first ever Facebook Trunk show. Our trunk show will feature our fall collection that is only sold at trunk show events at local retail locations. At our last trunk show event, hosted by Cheeky Peach Boutique, were were able to raise $300 dollars for Athens Canine Rescue! We were so excited about the money we raised we decided to do a Facebook trunk show to raise more money for Athens Canine Rescue. We will be donating 10% of total sales from the Facebook trunk show. Our goal is to raise $500 for ACR.

    ACR makes it their goal to find loving homes for dogs from all walks of life. We hope that our trunk show on Monday meets our goal of raising $500 for this great organization.
