Wednesday Whereabouts: Back to School

This past Wednesday night, I headed out with some girlfriends to the West Elm Opening Party.  It was catered by The Ordinary and those jalapeño hushpuppies were divine, especially dipped in that sauce!

Of course, I wanted one of everything in the store.  This leather sofa was calling my name.
As I posted on last Thursday’s post, I wore this…

Mara Hoffman Swing Dress (on sale, true to size; this Mara Swing Dress is also on sale) // Michael Kors Wedges (on sale, true to size) // Essie Fiji // Gigi New York Uber Clutch (on sale) // Kendra Scott Cuff // Gorjana Crossover Cuff // Kendra Scott Parker Studs

Wheeler’s Dress (on sale with an additional 30% off with code: GREATSALE) // Effie’s Dress (on sale with an additional 30% off with code: GREATSALE)
I took the kids to get their well check-ups last week.  It wasn’t quite time for Effie and Vaughn to get theirs, so it was just Wheeler and Logan.  And I have to say Logan behaved so well!  Usually he freaks out and cries, but I guess he’s getting older.  It was also helpful to have Wheeler there too.
My first grader on her Meet the Teacher night!
Both boys are growing up way too fast!

On Friday night, we headed over to a friends’ house for a pool party.  This was the first time I wore these Jack Rogers Georgica Jelly Flip Flops and I absolutely loved them!  Super secure and comfy, and not too pricey!  I’m an 8.5 and went with a 9 in them.

Yes, Effie’s wearing my coverup.  She said she needed a costume.
On Saturday, we headed to the Farmer’s Market and enjoyed Nutella and strawberry crepes again.  Except this time, Wheeler tried the Charleston Omelette.  She loves shrimp and it was included in it.  The boys also had cheese grits.  All of this food talk is making me hungry.
Effie and I stopped in one of our favorite little boutiques, Candy Shop Vintage.  Naturally, Effie wanted the watermelon picnic basket in the display window.  I picked up some navy rice beads and can’t wait to wear them soon!

We had friends over on Saturday night for a cook-out.  The weather couldn’t have been more perfect!
Loving all of these embroidered tops, as well…

Baublebar Garland Brooch Necklace (Regularly $58, but for the month of August it’s only $32) // Lilly Pulitzer Gigi Tank // ‘Mrs. Fancy Pants’ Mug
Sunday involved lots of coffee and getting prepped for school starting.
 Growing up.  Way.  Too.  Fast.

Yesterday’s OOTD (more details on yesterday’s post)
J.Crew Pom Pom Tank (runs big, go down a size; not many sizes left in this top, but this pom pom tank in the same color combo is really pretty too) // J.Crew 3″ Chino Short (this neon watermelon has almost sold out, also love the neon capri and the new deep peri color would be really pretty paired with this top too) // K Jacques Epicure Sandals (for a similar look at a lower price point, see yesterday’s post) // Kendra Scott Ripley Triangle Bracelet // Charleston Rice Beads Bracelet // Essie Fiji // Gorjana Elea Ring // Marc Jacobs Sunglasses
A big milestone!  Logan sat by himself in a big boy chair and got his haircut without a tear!

Afterward, we stopped into West Elm and I keep thinking about this mirror.
Their reward for being so brave getting their haircut…Sugar Bake Shop!
Chee-yahs!
Lanier’s birthday is today so we’ll be spending the day celebrating!  Effie made him this sweet card.  One of the most detailed illustrations I think she’s ever created!
Happy Wednesday!
