Wednesday Whereabouts

Last week, we headed to a playground with friends and I just couldn’t get over how tall Wheeler is getting.  She’s growing up way too fast!

Check out how big this dog was that we met while we were there, named Rhett.
I enjoyed Leon’s Oyster Shop last week for the first time for lunch and it was delicious!  I’ve been for dinner before, but there’s something about a Bloody Mary and oysters on the half shell for a yummy midday treat.  I’ll definitely be back there again soon!

My sweet baby before his haircut last week.
It was cold and rainy last Friday.  Glad I hadn’t stored all of my winter clothes away yet.

Vest // V-Neck Tee (on sale) // Shorts (mine have sold out, but I love this new print too) // Crossbody Bag // Bracelet

On Saturday, we headed to the Southern Grounds Music Festival.  It was two days long, but we decided to go only on Saturday.  The line-up was AMAZING!  So many awesome performers!

I wore this maxi dress that day.  I know I’d mentioned on Saturday’s post that I thought it would be too cold to wear it, well thankfully, it warmed up and I was so happy I didn’t wear jeans!  How amazing is the back?  For fit, I’m wearing a small.   I’m 5’6″ and the length was perfect.  I’d say if you’re 5’3″ or shorter, this dress may be too long for you.  And as I’ve mentioned before, I finally got this bra, wore it all day with this dress and never had any problems with it coming undone.  I wasn’t sure if the ground would still be wet from the rain we had the day before, so I wore these flip flops just in case.
 The food selection was awesome!

Of course the Cru Café booth was my favorite!

Around 5:30, the crowds definitely started rolling in and the temps dropped.  My phone died shortly after I snapped this pic, so unfortunately, no more pics for the day.  Next time I’m headed to a festival, I’m going to stop recording so many of the songs.  I just love coming home and showing the kids, but it clearly kills my battery.
Monday’s Cozy Situation

Yesterday, it was in the mid-80s!  Woohoo!  We enjoyed an awesome pool day after the girls got out of school, and finished it off with a pizza by the pool, a quick rinse and then they changed into their pjs.  We got back home around 6:45, and they crashed!

My Swimsuit (I’m a 34B and wearing a medium) // Sunnies ($59) // Wheeler’s Swimsuit (on sale) // Effie’s Swimsuit
Thanks so much for all of your ‘favorite song’ comments yesterday!  I knew I loved my readers, but I loved that I share soooo many favorites in common with you!  ‘Ophelia’ by The Lumineers is the latest one I can’t get out of my head and keep playing.  Any of the newer country songs you shared, I’ve definitely had them on repeat lately, and many of them performed this past weekend.  The OAR one cracked me up!  We used to play that on repeat when I was in college.  Still an oldie, but goodie.  We grew up listening to beach music and motown in our car, so “My Girl” brought back many memories of those car rides.  Now, if someone had mentioned Blondie “The Tide is High” – haha, one of my mom’s favorites.  And you can’t go wrong with anything by Van Morrison, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Otis Redding, The Avett Brothers, Mumford & Sons, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Old Crow Medicine Show, Taylor Swift, Jimmy Buffett, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Adele, George Strait, Shania Twain, Maroon 5, Eric Church, Brad Paisley, James Taylor, etc.  I know I’m leaving some out, but this list goes on!  The newer faves like Vance Joy and Leon Bridges are so good.  And I always have Renegades, Edward Sharp and Meghan Trainor on my running playlist.  I’m surprised no one chose a Coldplay song.  Love him too.  Many of you chose your wedding song as your favorite song, mine was “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green and I still love hearing it.  Brings back so many memories from that special day and the person I married. Can you tell I’m a lover of music?  All of your favorites made my day yesterday, so thanks so much!
Giveaway ends tonight at midnight, so be sure and enter!
Hope y’all are having a great week so far!

  1. Yes! Taking videos killed my battery too on Saturday so my phone was dead early. The food was amazing! The Bees Knees Fat Apple grilled cheese I had I am still dreaming about.
