Tuesday Trends: Lilly Brunch

I’m back!  So sorry to have been away for so long – all healthy in this house!  I’ve got a great post today, to welcome y’all back!  This morning I had the honor to enjoy brunch with the President of Lilly Pulitzer, James Bradbeer.  The other ten ladies and I had such a wonderful time getting to know Jim and hearing about his life (he has four boys!) and about Lilly Pulitzer’s line.  We also had a lot of time to chat about Lilly’s upcoming lines and new ideas.  Jim is a kind and welcoming man, and had such a comfortable presence when chatting with us.  You could tell he was genuinely interested in what we had to say, and I felt as though our opinions mattered to him.  Yet another reason I love Lilly so much!  He kept referring to the “others” out there, and how some people just don’t get it, the bright colors and all, but us Lilly lovers do, and that that’s okay!  Haha!  It was such a neat experience, and I’m so glad I was able to attend!

Here are a few photos I captured at the brunch…

Jim wouldn’t stand in the front.
I wore my Brinkley dress in It’s a Lilly, that I got in the mail last night from Under the Palm Tree!
This photo just shows how much of a variety that Lilly carries.  We were all wearing different Lilly!
How sweet are the tables?  We celebrated Belk’s new logo (revealed today) with Mimosas.  Yum!
We were also treated to some freebies, including a market tote and koozie.
What a treat!
My friend and employee for the Lilly Pulitzer section at Belk, Leigh Ann, thought the sun was messing up the photo, so she suggested another take.  More pics with Jim, fine with me!  🙂
Take #2!

I’m so excited for the Resort collection to come out.
There’s a light blue Jonah dress that will be perfect to support my Carolina Tarheels!
Thanks again for a great opportunity!  Oh, and do you think I even thought of telling the hubs why I was invited to this event?  Not exactly.
The hubs asked: “Why were you invited?”
The answer I gave him:  “Because they know how much I love Lilly!”
The REAL answer: “Because I spend a large amount of money on Lilly!”
Hope y’all are having a lovely Tuesday!
I’ve missed you!

  1. What a fabulous blog post! I LOVE to read stories like this! I am so glad that everyone in your house is healthy and you go a chance to go to the Lilly lunch with Jim! The photos are wonderful, all the ladies look beautiful in their Lilly and Jim is so handsome! This is one of the many examples of why Lilly is such a fabulous company! I know I'll never forget my tour of the Pink Palace and meeting Scott Beaumont aka Mr. Pink and many other wonderful Lilly employees and I made some great friends.

I hope you invited Jim to follow your blog!

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. How fun!! You look so cute in your Lilly and all the other prints are always so cute too! What an amazing opportunity!!! I live up North where we don't have a Belk but had the pleasure of going to one in Florida on vacation…it was a great store! I'm green eyed in real life, but they are truly a little greener today….

  3. Ooooh, what a wonderful time! You look beautiful in the dress Ashley, it all must have been very exciting! I'm a big Belk's fan, and am so glad they have bounced back, it would have been a shame to lose that group of stores. Thank you for sharing the loveliness!

    Sending you a smile,
    tp

  4. Luck Girl I am just loving all the Lilly dresses. Especially the one that your were wearing. By the way what is the pattern of name of the dress with the pink belt? Is it Lilly? I have never send that one before.
