Tuesday Trends: How Did Y’all Celebrate?

Fireworks at Pops in the Park, South Park Mall, Charlotte, July 2011

How did you celebrate over the holiday weekend?  I hope everyone had a wonderful time.  We returned from the beach on Saturday, unpacked, finished laundry and watched fireworks to celebrate the 4th.  In just a bit, the girls and I are headed to the pool, to cool off and relax.

Random, does anyone else have a dog that freaks out during thunderstorms and fireworks?  Our Boston Terrier, Boozer, does just that.  So last night, with fireworks and thunder in the area, he was extremely freaked out, almost to the point of seizing, poor thing.  As long as he can find a chair to hide behind, or bed to hide under, he usually calms down.  I know he was glad when July 5th arrived this morning, free of storms and fireworks.  Until New Year’s…

Mesmerized.

A great time had by all!  The girls were such troopers, and didn’t cry a bit.
I think E may have, if W weren’t there, but she was brave, just like her sister.

  1. You always dress your daughters so adorable. We went for dinner at Harbour Lights in the South Street Seaport and then went to watch the Macy's fireworks.

  2. Your girls are so cute – I am so jealous of their firecracker Lilly dresses. I seriously looked up the pattern on Lilly hoping for a shift dress of my own that I could wear this past weekend, but all they had in adult sizes were shorts and skirts. Boo! 🙂

  3. The girls look adorable in their dresses! So fun, cute and festive for the 4th of July. And I love your red and white, too.

    XO,
    Hannah
