Tuesday Trends: Graduation Gifts

I know many of you have family or friends that are graduating from high school or college this month, so I thought I’d give y’all some ideas of some gifts that will be useful to your grads, for years to come.

I think my favorite graduation gift from high school (1999) was a bath towel with my monogram on it (white with blue monogramming).  While it was great for college, I still use it even today!  L.L. Bean has some great ones for $24.95 (this includes monogramming).

Anything personalized makes a gift more special.  That’s why I love Tervis tumblers with monograms.  Also, they have a lifetime guarantee, and are insulated to keep your drink warm or cold.  Our cabinets have been taken over lately with the largest “Big-T” size.  They hold so much liquid, and can be used for on-the-go travel too, just pop on a lid!  They also make great groomsmen and bridesmaid gifts.

And you can never go wrong with a tote.  My favorite are the L.L.Bean ones because they’re so durable, and come in an array of colors and sizes.  I received many of these for graduation gifts, and still use them today, for beach bags, toting books, even diaper bags at times.  And even better?  L.L.Bean always offers free shipping, can’t beat that!  They also make great bridesmaid gifts.  I gave these to my ten bridesmaids, with little goodies inside, including a beach towel – since the wedding was in June.

From simple coozies to toiletry bags, laundry hampers to laptop cases, monogram your gift, and you can’t go wrong.  If you’re having trouble deciding on what colors to choose, try going with the colors of the high school the grad attended, or the college the grad will be attending.  Good luck!
