I know it’s still summer, but these cooler mornings have me excited about Fall weather! Today, I’m sharing my top ten Fall essentials, as I know for some of my readers cooler temps hit you faster than they hit our area of the world. Click on items above to shop or links below.
Tortoise sunglasses will forever be my top Fall trend. I don’t know if it’s that tortoise reminds me of the fall leaves or that the color pairs so well with so many colors in your Fall wardrobe, but I love me a good pair of tortoise sunglasses. The ones I shared above are my absolute favorites. The green lens are so fun, and I love the matte frame.
This season, I’m loving the bell sleeve trend. I already have the navy and grey one above. They’re so comfy and classic, but a fun twist on your typical long sleeve top, and right now they’re at great sale prices too.
So as far as flats go, I was a diehard Tory Burch Reva girl for years and years. Each season I was so anxious to see what colors she came out with next. Well, earlier this year I finally gave in and tried on the Minnie style (basically the Reva replacement) and y’all, I seriously should’ve given in and tried them on awhile ago. They’re so comfortable – like more comfortable than the Revas. So now it’s safe to say, Minnie > Reva. For fit, they run true to size. Either of the colors above would be so pretty for Fall!
I don’t care if it’s not even a trend this season, I’m making it a trend myself each and every season. Ha. I’ve loved pairing these fringed boots with everything in my Fall wardrobe year after year. And you wouldn’t believe all the compliments I receive whenever I wear them. They’re really comfy too! For fit, if you’re between sizes, size down. I’m an 8.5 and wear an 8 in them.
So I know everyone has a favorite pair of riding boots, and our favorites are obviously all different. When I finally found my favorite a few years ago, it took me forever to search for the perfect pair. And y’all, I still love these, especially that they get better with age. If you have a more narrow calf, go with this style here. But if you’re like me, and your calf is a little bigger than 15″ circumference, these will be perfect for you. I wear mine with everything from skinny jeans to cute Fall dresses. For fit, they run big. I’m an 8.5 and wear a 7.5 in them.
As far as sweaters go, I know I’m crazy but I really just don’t like to wear them that often. I guess I’m a major comfort girl and they’re a little too itchy for me. But when I find a soft one, I’m all over it and end up buying it in a few colors. J.Crew came out with a swing sweater a few years ago, and I really wish they’d bring them back. They were the best sweaters and fit so well. Not too fitted, not too flowy. But if I had to choose something similar, I’d go with this cozy fleece tunic above. I have a few from last year and they’re not only the softest tops, but they’re long enough to cover your rear.
Not even kidding, I’ve probably worn a pair of these slippers for over ten years now. They are the softest slippers you will ever meet. Clearly if I’m still wearing them after that many years, and of all people I’m a shopper, I’ve never found anything that remotely compares. For fit, I’m an 8.5 and wear a 9 in them. They’re so popular they’ve already sold out at Nordstrom, but I found them available in all sizes here and they offer free shipping!
Either the insulated vest or the knit vest from Patagonia are two of my faves. It’s honestly personal preference which one you like more. They’re both great to add an extra layer without being too heavy which I love.
Since we’re still talking Fall and not Winter yet, this jacket is my favorite to wear to and from the gym, or honestly anywhere for that matter. It’s a great fit and comes in lots of different style. For fit, it does run a little small, but that also depends on how you like to wear it. If you like yours fitted, it’s true to size. I actually went up two sizes to make mine extra roomy.
And finally, last but not least, I couldn’t leave out my top ten round-up without a good pair of jeans. I’ve worn this style for over three years and I continue to grab them as my go-tos year after year. They’re high-waisted and sculpt your legs with a tad bit of stretch. They run a little small, so make sure and size up one size.
The rain has decided to stick around through the weekend. Crossing our fingers we get to take the boat out at least for a few hours tomorrow! Naturally, I’m shopping for rain boots. How cute are these paint splattered short boots?
Yesterday, the kids and I went to see the Emoji movie after camp and they loved it! It was simple and cute and had a sweet story line. FYI, Cars 3 is definitely still better!
I hope you have a great weekend!
TGIF, Y’all!
The warm evenings and long hours of daylight are slowly being replaced by cooler days and Fall like weather.
Love your Fall essential picks. Of course there’s two items that have really caught my eye for Fall. I already have the Royal Tan/Gold Minnie’s but the leopard pair is also “calling my name.”
Great post, thanks for sharing.
