I found this cocktail recipe on allrecipes.com, and think it is so cool, and the perfect cocktail to serve this holiday weekend. A weekend to remember, and to celebrate all those who have lost their lives fighting for our country. I can’t say it enough, thank you, to all those who have served, and continue to serve!
Yields 6 Servings
“The US Marine Corps was founded in Philadelphia on Nov. 10, 1775 in a tavern during the American Revolutionary War. The name of the tavern was ‘Tun Tavern.’ There is an exact replica of Tun Tavern at the Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia. It was at Quantico in this Tun Tavern that the US Marine Corps Martini was born over 50 years ago. It has been made and served all over the world. Is it a killer martini? More on that later. It is sometimes referred to as the 5-4-3-2-1 Martini. To your health and good cheer! ‘Freedom is not free, but the U.S. Marine Corps will pay most of your share.'”
5 (1.5 fluid ounce) jiggers vodka
4 (1.5 fluid ounce) jiggers gin
3 cubes ice
2 (1.5 fluid ounce) jiggers pale dry sherry
1 1/2 fluid ounces water
Directions
Pour vodka, gin, ice cubes, sherry, and water into a glass container and freeze until mix is slushy, at least 3 hours. At the same time, freeze martini glasses.
Pour martinis into glasses, straining out any remaining ice cubes.

Do you always get J.Crew chino shorts in the 3" length? I'm really tall and am contemplating the 7" inseam but don't want to look frumpy. What do you think?
Do you always get the 3" chino shorts from J.Crew? I'm thinking of getting the 7" shorts as I am so tall but want to avoid looking frumpy. I've never seen them in person though. Thoughts?
I normally like my shorts low on my hips, so the 3" chino shorts aren't too short on me. I'm 5'6". Not sure how tall you are, but I would at least go for the 5", and not the 7". May be a little too frumpy. Good luck!
