Being from the South, everyone around here knows Firefly vodka by now. If you haven’t heard of it, it is divine! Basically, it is vodka infused with tea leaves, and it is distilled right here in the South, right outside of Charleston to be exact, Wadmalow Island. To read more about this sweet tea vodka sensation, click HERE. I mean seriously, what could be better for us southerners? An alcohol-infused sweet tea? I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but I grew up drinking sweet tea more than I ever drank milk. This is so yummy!
So there are many recipes to use with Firefly as the main ingredient, but I chose this one. This specific recipe was found on thedrunkpirate.com. Clever name. Almost a little redundant, don’t you think?

“This drink is probably the easiest. One part lemonade and one part Firefly vodka. That’s it. It’s best that you buy some pre-made stuff. I prefer Simply Lemonade which is made by the Simply Orange people. It has just the right amount of sweetness and bitterness. The nice thing about this drink is that even if you put just a little Firefly to a glass of the Simply Lemonade, it still tastes like sweet tea, albeit sweet tea with a lot of lemon in it. If you’re going to experiment with Firefly Vodka I strongly recommend starting with this very simple and great tasting recipe.”
