When we were out celebrating my birthday last month, I asked the waiter if he could make me a skinny margarita with jalapeños to spice it up a bit. He kind of looked at me, and said he’d try it. Needless to say, I loved it, and had another. And then when I got home, I started searching for jalapeño skinny margaritas recipes I could try at home. Here’s one I’ve found, but trust me, you’ll want to double the recipe, to share the taste with a friend, or even for you to have another. I know it’s cold out, but here’s hoping this will warm you up a bit!
Jalapeño Skinny Margarita
Found the recipe here.
Ingredients
1tbsp Agave Nectar
1 shot Blanco Tequila
Juice from 1 Lime
4 slices of Jalapeño
4 slices of Cucumber
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker (with ice cubes) and shake.
Pour in a glass over ice and enjoy!
Make sure you put the slices of jalapeños and cucumbers in your glass for garnish.
Depending on how spicy you want your drink, don’t wait too long to drink it, the longer it sits, the stronger the jalapeño spiciness becomes!
While this recipe excludes the salt on the rim, I’m always a big fan of it, so for my cocktail, I added it.
Cheers!

I know in my post yesterday, I told y’all about J.Crew’s Teddie Satchel now on sale with code: TAKENOTE. While everything isn’t 40% off right now, this little overnight bag in the Girl’s Crewcuts section is. I ordered one, with my initials in the chartreuse color, and thought it would make a great bag to carry all of my smaller toiletry bags in, while traveling. I’m sure I’ll find other uses for it, as well. Crewcuts always offers free shipping, and with monogramming ($10) and tax, the total comes to $35. I feel like this would also make a great birthday gift for any little girl in your life, or maybe a dance bag, sports bag? I would definitely be getting these for the girls, but they just got these last year for Christmas.
New Year Miracle
So my Canon has been screwy since this past May. Not sure if it was the setting or what, but it would not take a picture, to save my life. I had it in my car for awhile, always saying I’d take it in and get it fixed. Well, after accidentally dropping it out of my car, and then never finding the time to get over to the camera repair shop, I took it back inside, and it’s been sitting under my bed for about three months now. Well, this morning, L found it’s hiding place and was playing with it, and I noticed he had turned it on. I picked it up and it was WORKING!! Still cannot even believe it! I’m so excited to start using it again! Thanks, Little L!
Happy Sipping, Y’all!

Yay about your camera! And thanks so much for sharing this cocktail recipe, I am OBSESSED with spicy cocktails/drinks with jalapeno! I always look for them on the menu when we go out, so it would be fun to make this drink at home! xoxo
I'm obsessed with spicy cocktails!! I think I may just have to make this one with a chili salted rim!!
That drink sounds really good!

This drink makes me wish for summer (as did the crazy cold temps this week).
Thanks for the heads up on the bag. My daughter needs a new one for ballet. I don't see the option to monogram it though. Am I missing something?
Thanks!
Amelia
It should be right under the price info.
I'm so happy that your camera started working again!!!! As a mom I know how important it is to have a great working camera to snap those special moments !
The margarita sounds good! I like to make a jalepeno margarita by using a little pickled jalapeno juice- it's the perfect combo of kind of spicy and salty.
sounds so good! I love a good marg
That margarita looks good!! Plus, you've inspired me to order that canvas bag, too cute!
