The Great Pumpkin
I’ve never concocted this cocktail before, but it sure sounds yummy for this time of year! Just a few things to note: Meehan suggests you shake for a long time for a good foam, and not to forget the freshly grated nutmeg. Makes one cocktail.
Ingredients
2oz Pumpkin Ale
1oz Rittenhouse Bonded Rye
1oz Laird’s Bonded Apple Brandy
.5oz Grade B Maple Syrup
1 Whole Egg
Ice
Whole Nutmeg for Garnish
Add pumpkin ale, rye, apple brandy and maple syrup to a mixing glass.
Swirl to decarbonate beer.
Add egg and shake without ice until foamy.
Add ice, shake well, then strain into chilled serving glass.
Garnish with grated nutmeg.

I had a chance to stop by Anthropologie this morning, and actually had some luck in the sale section! Most of the time, I’m overwhelmed in the sale section (probably because I’m always with the kiddos), and can never find the piece (let alone the size too) I want. Both of these pieces were only $29.95, and I’m planning on wearing both of them well into late fall with long-sleeve shirts underneath.
Happy Sipping, Y’all!
The surprise ending tee is fun!! Great finds!
That cocktail sounds delicious and I love the loafers you included in this post!

I was at the mall this morning, too. It was hot and crowded when I was in Anthro and I didn't even make it back to the sale section. Boo! Now I hate I missed out 🙂
I agree that the Anthro sale section can be VERY overwhelming, but every so often, I have some patience and end up finding something great. Love your picks!
