I hope everyone enjoys eating way too many chips and salsa tonight, and one, two or more margaritas! Yum! I mean, Cinco de Mayo IS a day to celebrate, right? Instead of going with the typical margarita recipe for my Thirsty Thursday, I thought I’d go with a fun twist, Tequila Thyme Lemonade. I found it on North River Outfitter‘s facebook page this morning, and it sounds super refreshing!
• 3 thyme sprigs
• 1 t sugar
• 2 lemon wedges
• 3 oz. silver tequila
• 1 oz. cold water
• 2 t freshly lemon juice
• Ice
Muddle the three thyme sprigs with the sugar and two lemon wedges in a glass. Add tequila, cold water, and ice. Taste. Warning: It’s strong! Add lemon to balance taste, as you like it. Makes one drink.

Looking for a margarita, on a diet…
Try Bethenny’s SkinnyGirl Margarita. Instead of running out to the liquor store to buy her margarita line, you can make the exact drink in the privacy of your own home. Click here for an old post with her recipe. P.S. Have any of you been watching Bethenny Ever After? I’m so sad the season finale is on Monday night. Love that show! She is hilarious, and so is her husband, Jason.
