It’s been too long since I’ve been to one of my favorite restaurants in Charleston. If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know The Obstinate Daughter has always been one of my faves since before I even moved here back in 2015. Natalie lives over on James Island so it’s a little bit of a drive for her to get to Sullivan’s, but last Friday we made it over the bridge and had the best meal! Hoping to be back again soon!

I always get here and think of trying something different, but seeing as I hadn’t been here in a while, I went with my tried and true faves. The Farro Piccolo with Chicken is divine.

The Riccota Gnocchi is the absolute best. Always leave room for a to-go box. Tastes the same even heated up later. Not many to-go dishes at restaurants you can say that about, right?

We really enjoyed this wine thanks to our waiter’s advice.

The Old Danger with an egg is divine.

Loved our little bonus of creme brûlée. Delish!

Stopped into the Coop to grab some froses and shop around. They have a new little market area with lots of local food, flowers, etc. Loved running into the owner Jess while I was there. If you haven’t met him yet, he’s the best. Always the entertainer.

The girls and I went to see Sense and Sensibility on Friday evening. I’d just finished listening to the book the week before, so it was cool to see the novel come to life. While we’re at it, can we talk about Wuthering Heights?? It’s always been one of my favorite novels. Re-read it again a few years ago and have been hesitant to see it on screen because I never felt like the movie would do the book justice…much like most books. But when I saw the preview with Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, I think it’s time.

Always so impressed with the talent here. Amazing show as always!

Vaughn always likes when we take photos in front of this mirror whenever we’re here, so he can look for the ghost. Dock Street is haunted and he’s always been all about that.

Shopbop just marked down lots of new items. These faves are all available in many sizes. Be sure and use code: EXTRA30 at check-out. Shop all of my picks above in one place here.
