TGIF

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m so ready for the weekend!  Now that the girls are better, I’m so ready to get out and PLAY!  I just hope the weather clears up for that to happen.

I just finished reading Wuthering Heights last night, after having read Jane Eyre.  Between the two Bronte sisters, I think I prefer Charlotte over Emily.  Her words are so much more descriptive and flow so well.  Both books were great reads, I can definitely see why they’re classics.  The latest movie of Jane Eyre comes out in March.  Can’t wait!  The main character is played by the same character as the newest Alice in Alice in Wonderland, which I haven’t seen yet.  Next on the list, finishing The Girl Who Played with Fire, and then The Glass Castle (given to me by my sister-in-law this week, as a must-read).  You can see what I’ve been doing in my spare time, as the girls have been sick!

Speaking of the girls, they are so much better!  Their little noses aren’t even runny, which is such a blessing!  Of course today I could actually take them out, but it’s miserably cold and rainy.  Definitely tomorrow!  Lots of laundry to be done today!

Hope y’all have a wonderful weekend!
And thanks again, for all of the sweet comments.
They definitely helped!

P.S. Have you purchased today’s Groupon?  You can only purchase one per person, but it’s $10 for $20 at Barnes and Nobles.  I know I have a Kindle, but I purchase children’s books a lot there.  W and E love books, so maybe we can make an outing next week to pick out a new book or two!  Click here to get the Groupon.

One other thing…if you want a free 8×10 canvas of any photo you choose, click here.  All you pay is shipping, $14.95.  They are normally $49.99.  Here are two free canvases I’ve ordered in the past six months, and they’ve turned out so well!

  1. I need to go back and re-read both Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. Thanks for the reminder! Villette is pretty good too. I really enjoyed The Glass Castle – read it in one sitting. I hope you like it too. I liked the Dragon Tattoo trilogy but, unlike most people I've talked to, I liked the 1st one the best of the 3.

  2. The Glass Castle is one of my most favorite books. As an English major and former English teacher, it is hard to find such wonderful new stories. I am on to the next book she wrote, Half Broke Horses.
    Enjoy!

  3. I haven't read Jane Eyre since 10th grade, so I can barely remember it, but Wuthering Heights is one of my favorites! Glad to hear the girls are feeling better! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  4. Glad the girls are better!! You ar right…reading is great when you have to stay in with sick little ones! I ordered one of those canvases and it turned out beautifully…great that you are sharing this!!!

  5. You will love The Glass Castle. It is one of my favorite books. Happy your lil' girls are feeling better! Have a great weekend.

  6. Wuthering Heights is one of my top two favorite reads. It's a tad dark for a lot of people. Love it though! Jane Eyre is great too:) Loved the Stieg Larsson series. Very good!
