How dreamy is this little spot? This is my friend’s house. As soon as I walked through the doors I fell in love!
The perfect way to start a weekend…or honestly just any day!
Talk about full circle. If there are any of you who have seen these handprints at Charlotte’s Discovery Place on your visits here, bet you didn’t realize how old they really are! Mine has been there so long that Wheeler is the same I was when they installed them…all those years ago…not to mention our hands are the same size at age 11!
My parents came in town to celebrate their 40th anniversary. While they had things planned all weekend, they still insisted on wanting to see us even just for a little bit. And the kids of course loved it!
Digging out that cherry.
And you know whenever we’re here, we always have to play foosball.
And end the night with s’mores!
Logan will be 8 in a few weeks! Can’t even begin to believe he’ll be that old! Since he really wanted a baseball birthday party, we had to move his party up a few weeks. This is the last weekend of baseball for the Riverdogs. So we’re heading out to the ball field tonight to celebrate with a few of his best buddies and he is so excited!
Saturday morning, we set off on a boat day!
Our friends showed up with balloons for the birthday boy!
This was the scene at our house after church on Sunday. Scooter Squad!
Effie has always tumbled all over our house, at the beach, wherever she can find room. So after much debate, only because she has enough activities going on, I surprised her with gymnastics lessons. She went on Monday for the first time and LOVED it! Like loved it so much, she told me she wished she could go everyday!
So this is how we do Fall in the South. Less clothes, but Fall colors! Wore this top (also available here) last week and it’s great! Received so many compliments on it. Love the eyelet and ruffle detail. // Sandals // Crossbody // Necklace

I hope y’all are having a great long weekend! This storm can’t make up her mind, so we’re waiting to hear more about where she wants to go. Tis the hurricane season!
