Fashion Friday: Pineapple Cocktail, OOTDs and Sales

First and foremost, Cinco de Mayo is on Sunday!  The day I can eat chips and salsa, and sip on margaritas and Dos Equis, to my heart’s content, all because it’s a day to celebrate the 5th of May!  Ole!

Cheers with me, with this yummy cocktail I found via Ina Garten (aka The Barefoot Contessa)…

Pineapple Margarita
Yield: 8 Cocktails

Ingredients
2 cups lime juice, about 20 limes
2 cups white tequila
2 cups Triple Sec
2 1/2 cups fresh pineapple juice
Fresh pineapple slices, for garnish
Combine the lime juice, tequila, Triple Sec, and pineapple juice. Fill a cocktail shaker 1/2-way with ice and fill 2/3 full with the margarita mixture. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into glasses. Decorate with fresh pineapple slices and serve ice cold.
*I’d probably still salt the rim.  The perfect combo of savory and sweet!
Feliz Cinco de Mayo, Y’all…or is that Vosotros?

Next, here are some outfits I’ve worn recently.  Much to my dismay it’s still unseasonably cool here.  The beautiful weather in early April was such a teaser.  It fooled me so much that I’d already stored away my closed-toe shoes until the fall, and put away my sweaters and heavy coats.  Needless to say, with my sandals and shorts I’ve still been trying to wear in this cool weather, I’m so ready for some warmth here!

J.Crew Top // Groopdealz Floral Necklace (currently sold out) //  Tory Burch Miller Thongs // J.Crew Shorts (currently $28, with code: SUNSHINE) // Michael Kors Watch // Kate Spade Marmalade Earrings

The girls and I are going to see the musical Pinkalicious tonight.  Don’t you think this outfit is pinkalicious enough?  The girls are obsessed with her books, so I know this show won’t disappoint!  W can recite the entire book by heart!

I’ve been a StyleMint member since last January, and have enjoyed the tops I have received.  Honestly, I don’t always love the tops they have featured each month, but if you select: Skip this month, within the first five days of the month, they don’t charge you.  There’s never an obligation to buy either.  If you’re interested, click here for your free invitation.  I always enjoy it, because it give me an opportunity to try something a little more trendy, without the expensive price tag.  Enter code: SMNEW20, to receive 20% off your first purchase!

How sweet are these little pineapple studs from Anthropologie?
I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend!  The girls and I are off to see the musical Pinkalicious this evening, and throughout the weekend we’ll be keeping an eye on the golf tournament in town.
Go Webb!

TGIF, Y’all!

  1. I enjoy reading your blog and love the heads up you give on sales at some of my favorite stores! I just started a blog called "Suburban Charm" and hope you stop by some time. I just posted about a sale at La Plates…they have adorable monogrammed plates and trays. Very preppy and cute!

  2. The musical sounds like so much fun – and I love that elephant top!
