Fashion Friday: OOTDs, Tory Burch Sale, Groopdealz Giveaway

Happy Friday, Y’all!  My family is a bit sad, as this weekend is the last weekend we’ll spend with my parents and sisters at the home they have lived in for 23 years.  To say I’m going to miss it is an understatement.  All the furniture is already gone, but some of my sisters and parents are going to stay in it through the weekend, with blow-up mattresses, so we can stay there just one more time, and celebrate our wonderful home!
My parents aren’t moving too far, but we truly loved this house.  So many fond memories have been shared there.  But I guess the real truth is home is where your family is, and we’ll be able to make new memories with them, in their new house.

  33. I know how hard it is to leave the home you grew up in for years. Someone gave me this advice when my parents left our house and I repeated these words over and over. "The walls don't hug you when you leave." It's so true. They don't! It does get much easier, but it is difficult at first. I even remembered this when my husband and I bought our 2nd home. I took a picture of every single room (in both houses) in case I wanted to "go back" there.

    I feel your pain with the loss of the family home..my parents are thinking about selling our family home and the thought of it saddens me greatly!! Of course, your family is the people you love, not the walls around it.. but our family homes have so many memories and it will be hard to let them go.

  48. I love all your OOTDs! Your parents house is beautiful and I can relate..my parents close on a new place in mid-June and will be moving out of the house they have been in for 26 years! It is definitely hard, but like you I have to remember that home is really where your family is, not a house!
