Dallas Trip: Part 2 + What I Wore

Happy Monday!  What a whirlwind of a weekend!  I got back from my blog conference yesterday.  This is my third year attending, and we always have the best time!  The events are always awesome and we have so much fun!  Check out a recap of the first few days that I posted about on Saturday’s post here.

I had pictured lots of pool time on our trip, as earlier in the week it was forecasted to be sunny and in the 80s.

Unfortunately, the weather changed.  But we made the best of it, and tried to squeeze in as much pool time as we could because I just love that pool so much (our conference is at the same hotel every year).  My La Blanca Cover-Up is back in stock in all sizes in the turquoise and coral colors!  It’s still available in the color I’m wearing here.

But in the end, about 1pm yesterday, a cool breeze blew in, the sun went away and it started to rain on us.  This is the black bikini I posted about last week while we were in Key West.  Thankfully, the rain cleared up for Saturday night’s White Party.
On Saturday morning, I got to wear this Tory Burch Dress again, that I love so much.  Super comfortable and fits true to size.

Dress // Mini Saddlebag Crossbody // Sunnies // Wedges (old, but I love these) // Bracelets // Ring
How crazy was our venue for the White Party we attended!?  It was at Dallas’ Opera House.  If you live in the Dallas area, it’s an awesome event venue!
As I mentioned on yesterday’s post, I had to choose between three white dresses that I liked.  I ended up going with this one, and still so happy I did.  It was definitely out of my usual comfort zone of swingy, flowy dresses, but I did enjoy wearing it.

Dress (also available here) // Wedges // Clutch (on sale with code: GIGIDALLAS until midnight) // Necklace // Bracelet // Ring // Earrings
Apparently, I must’ve been a stylist in my past life.  How pretty is their hair?  I actually use a straightener to get these waves.
It was fun fixing it for them both nights.  I like this one and it’s on sale right now too!

Of all the conference speakers, Monika Hibbs was my favorite.  She’s really good friends with Jillian Harris (from Bachelorette fame) who came to the conference last year, but with a new baby, she couldn’t make it this time.  Monika has such a talent for decorating beautiful white, open spaces.  I had so much fun with her and so many others throughout the weekend.

On Sunday morning, I enjoyed one last morning of breakfast in bed and then headed to the airport.
The clouds on the flight back were unbelievable.  Couldn’t wait to show the kids pics of them when I got back home.  Missed them so incredibly much!!

For the last leg of the flight from Charlotte to Charleston, we flew in a smaller plane.  Had to snap a pic pre-flight!  I had some of you ask more details about this striped tote, it’s by Barrington and still my favorite from last summer.
Goodbye, Charlotte!
When we got back, I was so excited to hang out with the kids but it was about 2pm and they were all wiped from the fun weekend they had with their daddy.  Yesterday, he said they went to see Zootopia, played putt-putt, visited the playground, played games, etc.  The best day!  But I think it caught up with them on Sunday, and they honestly all napped for at least two hours that afternoon, Wheeler and Vaughn napped for 3?!  It was nice to sit and relax, and catch the end of the Masters.  If you watched it, I just hated it for Jordan Spieth!
Yesterday’s OOTD

My new ring is by Kendra Scott and I’m in LOVE with it!  You know I love a good statement ring.  My Julie Vos obsession has still been my favorite ones since I discovered her last January, and have been wearing them since. // Sunnies // Top (on sale with code: TIMETOSHOP) // Shorts ($24 with code: TIMETOSHOP) // Sandals
Remember, my hot pink Stella Foldover Clutch is 20% off with code: GIGIDALLAS, but only until midnight!
Off for a day back in our routine.  I’m all unpacked from the trip, but need to catch up on laundry and restock the pantry and fridge.  Hope y’all have a great start to your week!

  1. Looks like such a fun time!!! I love that Kendra ring, awesome that they're making that style in a ring now. Also was so sad about Jordan Spieth for the Masters, but also feel kinda bad for Danny Willet that him winning is a little clouded over by Jordan's loss. Have a great week!

  2. So cute! Do you do blowouts or do you skip wash days? I love how shiny your long hair is – mine isn't able to be washed everyday. 🙂
