Thirsty Thursday: The SunSplash + Loving Lately

With the dog days of summer upon us, I thought I’d fine a tasty concoction to help get us through the rest of this summer heat.

The Sunsplash

1 1/2 oz orange vodka
1/2 oz Cointreau
1 1/2 oz fresh OJ
1 1/2 oz Cranberry Juice
1 oz Lemon Sour Mix (2 parts fresh lemon juice, 1 part simple syrup)

Shake with ice and strain into an ice filled goblet.
Garnish with a slice of orange and a spiral of lemon.

Instead of watching HGTV and Food Network while the children nap in the afternoon, I’ve been trying to fit in some summer reading.  I’m currently engrossed in The Goldfinch.  So good!  Love Donna Tartt’s writing style – so descriptive and easy to read.  Next up is Where’d You Go, Bernadette?

I even did a post on it my favorite items–that Clare Vivier foldover is on my christmas list and so much more affordable with the Piperlime discount!   5. Seriously the sunglasses pic is way too cute!! We've always used those lunchboxes too but I just switched to pottery barn kids and really love theirs as well! I looooved Where'd You Go Bernadette!! Sooo good.
