Charleston Wine & Food: Part 1 + What I Wore

The Charleston Food & Wine Festival has come and gone, in what was honestly one of my favorite festivals so far.  The anticipation building up to the weekend was definitely matched by the amazing experience!  While it was a little windy at times, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect.  Not a cloud in the sky all weekend long!  I was trying to decide how I was going to share everything with you, so I decided to split it up by each day.  Today, I’m sharing everything from Saturday.

First things first, I attended an event called Beyond Champagne, hosted by Eric Asimov at the new wine store downtown called Wine & Company.

I absolutely LOVED everything I tasted.  My favorites were the lambrusco (#4 above) and the blanc de blancs (#6 above).

Afterward, I met up with my friend Natalie and we hopped over to Pinot NV.  I highly recommend this event.  Tons of delicious food and wine and a great atmosphere.  This year it was held on the lawn of The Gibbes Museum.  It’s always been a favorite venue of mine.  Great for weddings and receptions too.

So much good food!  This was one of my favorites from the event.  Just the right amount of crispy with a little kick.

My favorite wine of the day, Kono, from New Zealand.  Erin was super sweet!

Saturday evening, Lanier and I attended a late night party hosted by Top Chef’s Gail Simmons at The Dewberry.

Talk about over the top.  The food was unreal!  I don’t think I’ve ever dined on anything as nice as this.

How amazing are these walls at The Dewberry?  Such a fun event!  With a sad moment after watching the Carolina game, we were happy to attend this event afterward!

What I Wore

My dress is just under $50 and comes in so many colors!  I was so comfortable throughout the day and I loved the weight of it.  I’m already shopping for another color I love it so much.  I had a lot of you ask about my heels.  Absolutely LOVE them.  I wore them for a good 12 hours on Saturday and ended the evening without a single blister.  They’re on sale, but selling out quickly! // Sunnies // Crossbody (also available here) // Necklace // Necklace (worn as a bracelet) // Jacket (old, similar here) **Ignore my busted knee.  I fell playing tennis on Friday morning.  My poor knees.  I seriously fall all the time.

I hope y’all have a great start to your week!  I’m off to fold laundry and get things straightened around here to start the week off right!

Happy Monday!
