Back to School Looks for the Girls

School starts back this week and I know a lot of y’all asked for back to school outfit ideas for your girls.  How cute are these tees from Walmart, only $6?  And these shorts are only $6!

Love the tassel detail on these tops.

And these shoes are super comfy!  They run a little big, so I’d go down a half size.  Only $13!

Top // Shorts // Shoes

You can’t beat this entire look for under $25!

Not exactly back to school, but had to share these cute suits!  Only $5!

Going into 4th and 5th grade this Fall!  Don’t even get me started.  Still trying to postpone the inevitable over here.

These little dresses are great for a school uniform, priced at only $10!  If you have questions about back-to-school shopping, Walmart has a great Q & A here.  Shop school uniforms here.

I hope y’all have a great start to your week!  A few more days of organizing and attempting to squeeze in a few more summer activities before the first day of school!

Thanks to Walmart for their partnership on this post.

  1. I’m always so amazed by how close your girls are and how close your boys are. I’d love a blog post about it! Do your kids all have similar personalities? Different personalities? What did you do to foster such close relationships?

    1. They’re 4 years and 4 months apart. The girls are 17 months apart and the boys are 13 months apart. I’ve been writing Sweet Southern Prep for almost ten years and I guess I never really describe their personalities on here mostly because they constantly change as they age, and I don’t want to stamp them as having specific personalities. But I will say they’re sweet. 🙂

As for why they’re so close, I always tell people we lived in a pre-war bungalow (only 1500sqft) for their first 8 years of life so that may have had something to do with it. Hard to believe since I’m very busy socially now, but when they were babies, I was a happy homebody and spent all of my time at home with them playing together and took them on outings, without other distractions. I just loved watching them interact with each other me, knowing that the youngest phases of life go by so quickly and I truly wanted to cherish all of that time so much.

  2. I love your blog all the way out here in the Pacific Northwest! I think I may have been Southern in my past life – nothing like a good monogram 🙂

Your family is just lovely 💕

In this great picture of the girls, the US flag looks great. Do you have a favorite source for your house flags?

    1. Thanks Megan! You are TOO kind! Lanier actually picked this one up at our local Lowe’s store here. I think it was under $30!
