With these freeeeezing temps, we all need something to warm us up this week.
I can’t wait to try this one!
Hot Mint Cocoa Toddy
1 oz. Kahlua
1 oz. Peppermint Schnapps
Cocoa mix (enough to make 6 oz.)
6 oz. water or milk (depending on your brand of cocoa)
Miniature Marshwallows or Whipped Cream
Make 6 oz. of hot cocoa in your favorite coffee mug.
Add the Kahlua and the Schnapps.
Place 8 or so miniature marshmallows or whipped cream on top.
Grate some chocolate over the marshmallows/whipped cream.
Drop in a cinnamon stick.
This week we’ve been trying to organize and hang as many pictures as possible. The sooner we get everything up, the faster we can get rid of many of these moving boxes…
And the girls love their old pictures now in a new place! The one of the girls on the beach is a painting on a canvas that I scored at HomeGoods for $12!? And the ‘Sister’ sign, I purchased at Pottery Barn Kids
It’s funny how so many of our mirrors and pictures feel like new again. I guess when they’ve been hanging in the same spot for so long, it’s cool to see them in a new light. // My Tieks
are still the comfiest flats to throw on.
I’ve already managed to shop at some great places while living here. Found this colorful rug for the kitchen at a store called Celadon. So much to love at that place! I know there are so many fun stores and boutiques here. Can’t wait to explore more! // Ugg Slippers
Wheeler had her first day of school this week at her new school, and she LOVED it! To celebrate, we visited one of her now new favorite store, King Street Sweets. She sampled a praline and was hooked. Even insisted on bringing some home for her siblings. Seriously wishing her striped anorak
she picked out at Old Navy came in my size, especially that it’s now on sale!
And of course now that it’s too late to get Effie and Logan re-enrolled in any preschool programs down here, they’ll be hanging with me and Vaughn until September! Thankfully, Effie is an awesome helper and asked to push Logan around the grocery store. Only 5. You’d think she was at least 10! Made it a lot easier to have more room to shop.
Maybe it’s just the Carolina Girl in me, but I LOVE these Sky Blue Hunters! So so pretty! If you’re between sizes, size down. I’m an 8.5 and wear an 8 in these.
Everything on sale is an extra 25% off for a limited time at Anthropologie.
No code necessary. Prices are marked.
I may have to get my hands on this cozy Log Cabin Cardigan now that it’s on sale at Anthro. Now that Wheeler has to get to school earlier, I’m always looking for something quick to throw on when walking out the door, but still something comfortable (and not pjs) that I can wear throughout the day. And although it says it’s an online exclusive, they had it at my local store a few weeks and I had the chance to try it on and loved it. The photo does not do it justice, the colors are a lot brighter in person. I mean you can’t beat Cynthia Vincent for under $100. Runs true to size.
Such a pretty neutral Bib Necklace. I could see myself pairing this with so many of my tops. Would go well with lots of colors.
Seriously in love with this Peasant Blouse. I mean how amazing is the intricate beading, and it’s got such a great fit. The reviews are pretty stellar too.
is currently offering 20% off with code: SHOPPINGTIME
and 25% off if you have a J.Crew Card with code: CARDSHOP
I love a good versatile gingham shirt
. This one would be great under a sweater or on its own with a long statement necklace. FYI, J.Crew admits that last season’s fit on their usual winner Boy Shirt
was off and they’ve updated it this season. They claim that this fit is much better.
Unfortunately, these Tiger Lily Shorts are not included with this sale, but I’m loving this print so much! Really wish this print was on a blouse or top.
These Indego Africe Coasters aren’t included in the sale either, but they’re so unique and you know I love hot pink!
J.Crew Factory also released their newest arrivals and everything is currently 30% off.
This green is so summery and would look so good on many skin tones.
I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend! The weather is supposed to warm up here, finally! So I know we’ll be spending tons of time outside!
