Fall Edit: Top 10 Dresses

A reader emailed me last week and asked if I’d suggest some fun fall dresses.  I realize I’ve been including many tunic styles with jeans, but today it’s all about dresses.  And let me tell you, I have a few that I just added to my closet and they’ll be worn from around town to church and even date nights.
For starters, Mara Hoffman does it again.  I ordered this one last week and it came in on Friday and I’m in heaven!  Do you ever go in bouts where you try on everything and nothing just feels right?  Well, as soon as I tried this one on, I was super excited!  The colors of the short dress are perfection for fall.  I will say that it does run a tad short for my height, I’m 5’6″.  I’m planning on wearing it with leggings and booties.  But if you’re shorter than me, you could totally pull this off as a dress.  I went with the purple/orange combo, but love the other one just as much.
As soon as I opened the package of this dress, I desperately wanted it to fit.  It’s the softest dress I’ve worn in a long time.  It’s hard to describe but it’s heavier than silk, but just as smooth.  I’m planning on wearing it now and layering with a jacket or cardigan when the weather gets cooler.  And you know me and my love for Mara’s sleeveless shirt dresses.  I could seriously wear them every single day!  Both this dress and the one above run true to size.  I’m wearing a small in both.
I know I posted about this dress on last week’s post here, but I had to include it in my top ten fall dresses.  It’s just one of those dresses you can wear so many different ways.  For fit, I didn’t want it as fitted, so a medium worked better for me.
So this boatneck shift dress comes in three different colors: stripe, black and navy.  Today only, they’re all 40% off with code: HAPPY.  Seriously thinking about snagging all three.  From reviews, it looks like it runs big.  I’m still thinking I’d do a small in it.
If you’re loving the boho trend, but don’t want to spend too much, this dress is currently $17.50, price is reduced at check-out.  Hurry though, it’s selling out quickly.
This printed black dress is an easy one to toss on during the day or with heels or booties at night.
For a formal event, I absolutely love this navy dress.  Super simple, but so elegant.  It also comes in a light blue and light pink version.
Another favorite dress for an evening affair is this one.  The neckline is gorgeous, and the trapeze style would flatter so many figures.
This dress reminds me so much of Missoni, but at a fraction of the price.  Would be really pretty paired with grey suede pumps or booties.
I bought a dress similar to this style last year, and loved wearing it to everything from church to an evening out.  The fit and length is wonderful.  I paired mine a lot with nude heels and not much else.  I let the print speak for itself, but a fun statement necklace would add some color to it too.
Lots of choices for you, for several occasions.
Happy Tuesday!
