Loving Lately + An OOTN - Sweet Southern Prep

It’s Friday! So excited that the weekend is almost here! Last night, Lanier and I headed out for the annual Gibbes Museum of Art’s Street Party. They close down part of Meeting Street with a themed party. This year was a Chinese theme, so the 27 participating restaurants offered yummy bites with a Chinese twist. I can’t wait to share more photos with you on next week’s Wednesday Whereabouts, but I just couldn’t save these. The crowd was watching a drum performance and the dragon came out into the crowd. I was capturing some photos when all of a sudden this happened…

No, I didn’t get knocked down, but I definitely had to duck! Hilarious!

Before we left, we got our babysitter to take a photo of us. While she was snapping, Logan asked if he could be in the next picture. He cracks me up! He smiled as big as he could, can you tell? Haha! Loved it!

What I Wore

I still receive so many compliments when I wear this poncho out, and I have to admit I do wear it a lot. It’s just the easiest thing to toss on, especially on cool mornings.

Got this shirtdress and absolutely love it! For fit, I went with a medium to add a little length to it. It’s not nearly as short as it appears on the model. I’m 5’6″ and it hits right above my knees.

I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend! Thunderstorms are headed this way after lunchtime. While they’re fun to watch, they’ll kind of put a damper on our pool and cook-out fun Friday. I’m just thankful they’ll be gone by Saturday!
