OOTDs + Giveaway Winner Announced + Columbus Day Sales

I hope y’all had a fabulous weekend!  We had lots of playtime, and the girls enjoyed sleepovers – both nights!  Needless to say, they were pretty wiped out by Sunday afternoon.  How beautiful is this sunset we saw on Friday night?

As I mentioned before, the girls had sleepovers both nights, but the first night, I joined them.  We made it a slumber party, so the moms could catch up into the wee hours of the night, and the kids could play.
Friday’s OOTD

Dress (On sale, also on sale here! The fit runs a little big, but I think that’s just the style for it to be billowy. I still went with a small, but probably could’ve even done an extra small.) // Flip Flops // Crossbody (mine is an older version, very similar here) // Bangles // Ring
My dress also comes in this blue version here, and it’s also on sale.  I had a hard time choosing which color I liked better, but I think the brown print will pair better with leggings and lots of boot choices on into late fall.
While the boys aren’t old enough to sleepover yet, it was fun to have some time with just the boys, doing boy things.  Their favorite thing was visiting the fire station on Saturday.  My friend had an idea to let them go and walk by the firehouse and see the trucks.  While we were walking by, Vaughn ran back into one of the garages and we came up on about eight of them sitting around a grill cooking dinner.  We apologized, but they ended up welcoming us, asking if the boys would want to get into one of the trucks and look around.  By the end of it, the boys were decked out in new firemen hats, stickers and had the biggest smiles on their faces.

Logan has always been fascinated with fire trucks, so he asked them every question he could.  They let him pull out the hose, and turn on the lights, etc.  Seriously, every little boy’s dream.  You could tell these firemen loved their job, and loved watching the excitement in my boys’ faces.  I love when people have a passion for their profession, and you could definitely see it in these men’s faces.
Just the patience they had to let Logan and Vaughn run back and forth from the front seat to the back as often as they wanted, helping them get in and out of the truck, letting them check out every aspect of that firetruck made me so happy because I knew how much they were enjoying it.  Definitely a memory my boys will never forget.
Spotted these pretty striped rain boots in my inbox over the weekend.
Rainy day, preppy perfection.
Yesterday morning, it was only 63 degrees and it felt amazing!  I finally put on a pair of jeans and wasn’t hot the entire day!  Most days, it’s cool in the morning, but by mid-afternoon it’s pretty hot again.
Feeling Festive.

Cardigan (old, very similar here) // Jeans (true to size) // Tee // Necklace // Ring // Flats (mine are from last season, but these are very similar; go down at least a half-size)
The winner of the Pink Check Shawl from All for Color is…
Elizabeth Logan-Hay
